We were so fortunate to be served by the wonderful guides at Eyes of Rome. We spent just one full day in Rome, trying to utilize the very limited time we had to experience what Rome has to offer. My man, Giuliano Catapano, was amazing at working with us. He picked us up at our hotel, arranged for us to... More

We were Rome novices and needed good guiding around the Colosseum, Forum and Vatican. Silvia Trisciuzzi was our Eyes of Rome guide and was perfect for the job. She suggested but never told us what to do. It helped that we were a family group of five, two parents and three kids in their early twenties, but she was always... More

I loved to share my time and my passion for the City with you all. The kids are fantastic! I prefer my guests to decide what is better for their tour, without doing it for them, but just giving a suggestion or a recommendation. It was your vacation and not mine ... But I have to say I felt I... More

We were so lucky to have such a knowledgeable guide! We have visited Rome before and knew the Vatican but never before like this time. Her knowledge of history and art was remarkable. Worth every penny and more. Will never visit Rome again without her. This time was a very short visit so we only did the Vatican with our... More

My family and I used Eyes of Rome to visit the Coliseum and Roman Forum. Our guide was fantastic and came out to meet us where we were staying in one of the neighborhoods just outside of downtown. She did a great job talking to our kids on the train ride into the historic center. She was extremely knowledgeable on... More

One of the top things my husband and I wanted to do during our honeymoon was visit the Vatican. As Catholics, we felt it would be extra special to celebrate our marriage in such a holy place. A friend of mine had recently traveled to Rome and mentioned that everywhere she went the lines were really long so I decided... More

It has been so romantic to choose the Eternal City for your honeymoon that I have done my best to be something more than a tour guide for you. Hope my recommendations have made your stay more special and memorable. I wish you all the best for your future together and I'll wait for celebrating your anniversary here in Italy!... More

As we checked into our accommodation on Sunday (Condotti Crossing Suites - also superb), the very friendly and knowledgeable concierge, Davide, recommended the services of a small tour guide company, Eyes of Rome. He explained that all the guides were enthusiastic and passionate about their city and specialised in guiding small groups. As a family of 4 with two girls,... More

Dear family, what a beautiful comment! Thank you very much! I've been happy and grateful to spend my time with you and especially I loved telling stories to your curious daughters, who have been like Muses for me: a real inspiration :) Hope we'll have future opportunities to visit other treasures in Rome and outside the City. So special ladies... More

Our Carravagio tour was FANTASTIC! I knew a little about this artist before the tour but came away from the tour with an amazing amount of information. Serena, our tour guide, is the BEST. We've used her for many different tours and love her enthusiasm and incredible knowledge of the tour subjects. She keeps you enthralled during the entire tour.... More

I am pleased you have discovered and admired one of the most sophisticated and realistic Italian artists. The best art in Rome can be seen in a church or outside in a square: it is a museum in open air! There are many other artworks I would like to show you and other painters and sculptors who could attire your... More

After hearing several people tell us that paying for a private tour was a worthwhile investment when visiting Rome, we decided to give it a try. Of course there are thousands of glowing reviews of many different private tour companies, and we were a little bit overwhelmed with choosing one. Finally, basing our choice on the content of the reviews... More

You made me blush with your kind words... And now I feel lucky and proud, even if I am sorry you didn't get what you were looking for while in Florence. I thank you a lot since you wanted to mark the difference between our company and another experience you had a few days later. We really try to make... More

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
