Make sure you throw your coin behind your head, unlike me, who threw it in front instead...not the best decision in a crowd of people. In all seriousness amazing place, definitely go

This is a wonderful fountain in Rome centre. It has mythical themes in marble and blue water that makes it look other worldly. Situated in the centre of a grimy , brown commercial area and with hordes of tourists, its characteristics stand out even more...More

It is spectacular and it’s free which also means it’s very busy and hard to get close to but you can’t go to Rome and not toss your coin over ur shoulder!

The Trevi Fountain is an architectural masterpiece especially at night when it is lit up. Well worth a visit A few hints 1. You will get bothered by street sellers 2. It is in a small piazza which will get very busy but orderly 3....More

A must see when in Rome. My husband and I re-visited after many years, this time with kids. You should throw a coin over your shoulder for luck and to guarantee a return trip to Rome. I remember few years back it was easy to...More

Good luck getting close enough or trying to get a picture that does not include a crowd of other tourists. The Trevi Fountain itself is a treasure that should not be missed. I am just disappointed by the huge crowds of people there. It might...More

Visit at night time. It's totally different at night, seems to be less busy and more relaxed than during the day.

I'm not an art crazy person, but this was amusing, best time to visit - midnight, or you ll get bombarded with so ooooo many people, and may not fully enjoy it

When walking towards the Trevi Fountain, we always knew we were headed the right way because of the sound of whistles. Why the sound of whistles? Because once you actually reach the Trevi Fountain and see the massive crowd surrounding it during the day, you'll...More

A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is
all about action. From early morning through the wee
hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a
never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or
take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming
gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of
hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle
are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you
