I am so thrilled we were referred to Romasi Tours. We couldn't have been more pleased. Our first day we had an amazing walking guide, Maria. She took us thru Ancient Rome and the ruins. We visited the Colosseum and Palatine Hill. She was so knowledgable and so interesting. Better than any history class I have taken. She was the... More

I was referred to Romasi Tours by a friend and I could not have been more happy with the service they provided. I planned our family trip via email. Silvano helped me design a tour specific to our family. The drivers were prompt and courtesy. The tour guides were fun, and full of information. Well worth the additional money to... More

Our family of five adults had just arrived at the Corso 281 Hotel and asked the concierge that morning if it was possible to arrange a tour of the Vatican for that afternoon. They were quite accommodating and arranged for our guide Damiano to meet us at the hotel in an hour. Damiano helped us get a cab over to... More

One of the agents from Expedia.ca recommended using Silvano, who is the tour designer for Romasi, to help me with transportation for both prior and after our 11-Day Mediterranean cruise. Prior to our cruise, Silvano sent 'Renzo' to look after our transportation to Caravaggio and after our cruise, he sent 'Georgio' to drive us to Rocco San Giovanni, Chieti so... More

I got a recommendation to use Silvano and his Romasi Team from a family friend and without exception every aspect of the trip was superb! We used Silvano to arrange everything from in-town transportation to guided tours in Rome as well as a driving service from Rome to the Amalfi coast. All in all we used 7 different people and... Silvano had a driver, Carlos, meet us at baggage claim at FCO, he then gave us a tour on the way to our Hotel. Carlos then picked us back at the hotel that afternoon and drove us around town seeing the sights and stopping to explore. A great way to get your bearing in a new City. He also arranged... More

Silvanno helped us plan 5 great tours around Rome & Florence. Every tour guide did an excellent job in each of the 5 tours. They could answer every question, read our interest level in topics/sights, & adapt on the spot. One guide, Carlos Sotelo was above excellent. Carlos drove us to Hardrian's Villa & Villa D'Este and also served as... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
