You can look at photos all day. Standing there is another story. We used a tour company to get the history with what we were viewing. Can't be missed

The expectations for the colosseum are always very high so I went expecting to be disappointed and for it not to live up to the talk but ended up loving it. We joined an English speaking tour guide group outside the colosseum (nothing preplanned) and...More

We first came to see the Colosseum from the outside. We were told that looking from the outside at sunset is enough. And the view was great! But curiosity had us buying a ticket to take a good look inside. We were told there are...More

We walked to the Colosseum by way of the bath ruins off Viale del Monte Oppio, strolled down through the park and eventually approached the Colosseum on Via della Domus Aurea. We enjoyed the view from that north east corner eventually crossing the street and...More

I would highly recommend taking a tour as there is a lot of history and no signage. We had a great time on the Underground tour. It was interesting to see what it might have been like for the fighters, animals, and staff under the...More

Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighbourhood just
west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as
it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet
for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season,
quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its
cobblestone streets. The neighbourhood supports unique
and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime
residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at

We went with The Roman Guy for a few tours including the night tour at the Colosseum. Cool , no crowds . It was a walk by ancient ruins then to Colosseum. Under ground too. Recommend. Group of about 15 but had buds too.
