We ended our visit to Italy and Greece with a 2 day stop in Rome and booked Anno Domini Tours with Sev as our guide. He was so knowledgeable and he is an American who has been teaching in Rome and giving these guides for 13 years. We spent 41/2 hours covering the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and ended in... My husband and I just spent two weeks on a Mediterranean cruise followed by two days in Rome. We stopped in seven ports and had a guided excursion in each port. Only one of our excursion guides was truly knowledgable and genuinely interested in explaining the sights to us. The rest were bored and uninterested. You could tell they conducted... More

Sev Borzak came highly recommended for our Vatican Tour and he was fabulous. He really made our tour one of the best memories we will have of our Rome visit. As crowdded as it was I could not image doing the tour on your own and missing all the information we learned from Sev. He was awesome. I can't wait... More

There were four of us and we signed up for the group tour. Both tours were absolutely fantastic and our tour guide (Sev) was amazing! Sev spoke excellent English and Italian and thoroughly knew the history and details of every part of each tour. I plan to recommend Anno Domini every time someone asks for a tour of the Vatican... If you are reading this review you have probably seen multiply excellent reviews for Sev's tour at Anno Domini and they're all spot on. This definitely made our trip to Rome worth it! Our tour was so awesome packed with great information. My wife and I met our guide Sev steps from the Coliseum and proceeded to learn the history... More

We've been recommended Anno Domini by close friends who told us we should not visit Rome without contacting them. We were lucky to find availability for a private tour of the Vatican. It was the highlight of our trip. Our guide was Sev, an American scholar who also teaches archeology in Rome. He should be called WikiSev... I mean, he's... More

I brought a group of students to Rome, after years of touring my students in other places across Europe and the Middle East. We have never had a guide this good, in any country, ever. Knowledge, technology (he wears a mike, and you have an earpiece, so there is no shouting, no yelling at you to be quiet, no waiting... More

I was lucky enough to be walking near Sev in September 2014 in the Vatican. He is in another class of guide...his knowledge was extensive, his english flawless and he clearly loved his topic. My guide was hard to understand so in the crush of the Vatican crowds I wasn't getting much out of her. Luckily, Sev was behind me... More

We took three tours with Sev, the Twilight Tour, the Vatican Tour, and the Ancient Rome Tour. The tours were a highlight of our visit to Rome. Sev, a professor of archaeology at the University of Rome, was extraordinarily knowledgeable about the city and the sites. He pointed out large and small details and really brought history to life. He... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
