Just a famous coffee place which sells all kinds of food (coffee beans mixtures/chocolate/sweets/marmalade from England for example). Specialized in foreign goods from all over the world but has also local sweets and other specialties. Ideal for finding a little culinary gift.

We were here twice in 2 days during our 4 night Rome stay. Could be slightly pricey but this is a great place to buy souvenirs (especially food related items, they have them all!). They also have a section for international food including Japanese, Thai, Indian, etc. They also have a cafe inside the shop which is always crowded with... More

The store offers a wide range of interesting products that can not be find in a ordinary supermarket. Great smells and pleasant environment are really the things that keep you searching for the best what you want to taste.

Have a coffee at the bar and then buy some real Italian souvenirs for at home. Don't forget to buy a pack of Castroni Bar coffee beans, since I'd argue that it's the best coffee in town :)

Honestly, it was a bit overwhelming and I spent most of my time fawning/gawking at the shelves and shelves of sauces, vinegars, spices, sweets, chocolates, coffee, wines, pastas, and oils on display. Definitely a foodie's heaven and worth the trip from any part of rome. Be sure to go next door to Franchi for the cheese and meats, too. At... More

This is a gourmet food and liquor store that also has a coffee and snack bar. It is also huge! It had the most diverse selection of specialty liquors I've ever seen. I was the only foreigner in the store. The diversity of products was breathtaking and is worth a stop just to see it. Think of it as Italian... More

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
