Terrible!! Cancelled buses. Massive queues. UNRELIABLE!

We arrived to find that next 2 buses had been cancelled. When I asked the staff at the airport what was going on, they were very rude and told me there were no more tickets. When... read more

We arrived to find that next 2 buses had been cancelled. When I asked the staff at the airport what was going on, they were very rude and told me there were no more tickets. When I told them I already had a ticket, they just shrugged and pointed to when the next business was coming, which was in an... More

Was in Rome for a 4 days break and because of this company I started on the wrong foot. Paid online to avoid que and the bus never came after 1 hour the person in the booth came out saying that next bus will arrive in an hour and a half. That would have made 2 hrs and a half.... More

I purchased tickets online for a bus from Rome Termini to the airport, only to discover that I needed a printed ticket. Emailed terravision for ideas about how to print out the ticket, with no reply, so went to Termini the day prior to our departure and asked several people where the Terravision bus is, and was eventually pointed in... My advice is don't book with these guys. Unless you fancy waiting in a huge line for only half the line to get on. It seems that they cancel buses then it's a massive scrum to get on. With the elderly etc being pushed out of the way when the bus gets there. Only to be actually laughed at by... More

For a company that must do these transfers several times a day, there was little or no coordination of the boarding process. We were literally kept out in cold (1 degrees) for nearly 30 mins after the bus arrived whilst they fussed around with making a sticky sign. We then left 15 minutes late. It also sounded like the front... More

Our experience of Terravision service started when we had the misfortune to pre-book a bus from Ciampino on 21st December. The bus was 40 minutes late with no explanation. The irate Italian traveller who missed his connection at Termine was greeted with a shrug of the shoulders. We had booked a return to Ciampino on Boxing Day (26th Dec) at... More

I booked a 5:30am bus to FCO airport. There were other airport buses near the same bus stop with signage for their companies. I saw none for Terravision. The confirmation email said to arrive 15 minutes before but the bus was not there. At 5:30 the bus had still not arrived. I startled talking to the group of people waiting... More

I'm usually an easy-go-lucky guy and always try to look at things in a positive way. But this time it is simply not possible to do so. I don't even know where to start so I'll just say this: Ciampino Terravision bus stop is chaotic, it's hard to understand which bus to take as they're never on time; buses are... More

We booked a Terravision transport from the airport to the center of Rome and it was absolutely terrible. At our arrival at the airport of Rome, the bus was not only 45 minutes too late, but it also drove off without picking up any passengers. When we were finally allowed to get on the bus, it was complete chaos. No... More

Staying in Piazza Venezia / Ancient City

Neighbourhood Profile
Piazza Venezia / Ancient City
If all roads lead to Rome, then they all end here. Piazza Venezia and the Ancient City are the very epicenter of the Eternal City. Within a 360-degree turn, Roman history unrolls in front of you, from its ancient beginnings to its 21st century transformations. Whether it’s those historical playgrounds known as the Roman and Imperial Forums, or the side-street shops, trattorie, and churches, this neighbourhood packs a cultural punch and then some. Screaming scooters, battling buses, crazy cars, and lots of foot traffic converge in the area all day long. By dusk, a different vibe emerges as the neighbourhood quiets down. Don't be surprised if you find yourself passing through the Piazza Venezia at least once a day, since it’s the most direct way to get from one side of town to another.
