The sheer size of the this magnificent building earns it 5 stars. As the guide suggested, this confirmed Rome as the "New York" of the ancient world with a population of 1.6 million, unsurpassed for 1500 years!

This is the biggest building in the Forum. You can get up close and see the engineering (similar roof structure to the Pantheon)

After the Colosseum this is by far the most imposing structure in the area. It's worth walking up as close as you can to get a good idea of its proportion and size. A great testament to the strength of Roman architecture.
