Some amazing frescoes and ceiling art in this impressive building although it is only 5 large rooms and may be slightly over priced.

The Palazzo Farnese is home to the French Embassy, so security is strict. You must book in advance and show your passport and ticket before the start of the tour. Photographs are not allowed. It is worth the effort to see this historic building. If...More

Very lovely but not as magnificent as other palazzos. Be careful of prices around this area as can be extortionate. Lovely architecture.

The only way you can see the newly restored Carracci frescoes in this High Renaissance palazzo near Campo Di Fiori, is to book a tour. But it is well worth your time and effort. These frescoes are so brightly vivid and truly astonishing, that you...More

Hurray! I am happy to report the renovation of Carracci Gallery is now finished and open for viewing. And a beautiful gallery it is indeed! All secular in its story and subjects which is unusual for Rome where religious themes prevail. Colours are so vibrant...More

I haven't yet visited the Palazzo but have struggled all week to book because (a) the website is of incredibly poor design (early 90's) and (b) the contacts are useless: a very thick person kept telling me by email in poor French that everything was...More

Unfortunately not. They are very strict about even looking into the courtyard and gardens. The only way to "look in" is to book a tour which I highly recommend. Ken
