One of the famous statues of Bernini is located in the Chiesa di Santa Maria della Vittoria. To recreate ecstasy, Bernini has built the overall architectural prowess around the statue and has even added an audience - very interesting.

A beautiful statue made by Bernini in Santa Maria della Vittoria. A must see for anyone interested in visiting churches with classical pieces of art and for those who want to visit all the places mentioned in 'Angels and Demons' by Dan Brown.

This was a very interesting piece done by Bernini. It was absolutely beautiful and ST. Teresa's story id's very interesting also. All you have to do is wander around this ancient city and you learn more with every building you enter.

This church is like a dream, do not miss the clouds floating near the ceiling and altar. The groups of viewers on the right and left sides of the statue -as they stand at the theater- are more excited even than the statue..

Located in the church of Santa Maria della Vittorio, this statue is the most beautiful statue I have ever seen, and that includes the ones by Michelangelo. Viewing the statue is free of charge, but bring at least one 50 cent coin to activate the flood lighting.

This is a beautiful statue made by Bernini in the santa Maria della vittoria church. A paper give a explanation of the story of this beautiful holy child, Teresa, and her sister Agnese. Moving!!!

I was fortunate enough to attend Mass @ this church twice while in Roma. I don't speak Italian but LOVED being in this BEAUTIFUL church. The Ecstasy of Saint Teresa is a sight to behold. If you are near ...go. A wonderful place to sit ,be quiet and pray .

Staying in Trevi

Neighbourhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
