I had my hair cut here in July of 2015. My wife found this gem and I am so glad she did. We were in Rome this month, February of 2017, and I arranged for another cut before leaving the states. They were so helpful and accommodating. We landed at 1 PM and my appointment was for 6 PM. No... More

If you are looking for a shave or haircut in central Rome (Spanish Steps) you only need to stop at Peppino's. Antica Barberia say's it all, Gentlemen in white coats and tie, old barber chair, hot towel, lotion/beard massage and a perfect straight razor shave. 25 euros and worth it. Next time I would also have the young lady in... More

Peppino's was recommended to me by a 90 year old Italian as the place in Rome to get a haircut. I was a little sceptical, having been burned by super expensive shops in NYC. But this was probably one of the handful of best haircuts in my life. Add in the burning candle treatment (a first for me) and the... More

This place is a very swanky old-time barbershop with lots of ambiance. The windows are lined with the products of famous British toiletries and the place looks very inviting. I went in, speaking no Italian and needing a haircut. Know that a haircut here is not a regular 15 euro trim but rather a 50.00 euro extravaganza. First, the first... More

My wife found this place while we were in Rome. It had been very hot and as we traveled I realized I needed a haircut. So, I walked in and they took me right away. Well, this was one of the best cuts I have ever had! The barber was exact in his cuttings and his handling of the straight... More

I've been dreaming about an old school shave for quite a long time and ended up with a self-granted wish-come-true on the day of my birthday, in the middle of a trip to Rome...and I couldn't have chosen a better place on earth. Entering to Antica Barbieria (Old Barber Shop in Italian) is like going back to the time of... More

This is what Italian relaxation is all about. Talented barbers practicing the traditional trade in a quiet environment. Manicures, etc. are available too. Don't miss a real treat. The prices are not extraordinarily high, so you should treat yourself.

f you are a man who needs a well-deserved rest after walking the endless streets of Rome, this is your spot. You can get a premium shave by true experts who are friendly an incredibly well dressed. It is a great experience, even if it is only to watch it being done!

Thank Valebj

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
