Laura was the tour guide for Roman forum and colosseum; she did an amazing job with great stories. She brought us around the large groups navigating around the “people traffic”. I highly recommend booking this tour for the two sites I learned so much and was amazing to skip the lines with easy entry. After the tour was done we have free time to enjoy the colosseum. There’s a great gelato place across the street. Be wary and ignore the people “gifting” free bracelets outside the entrances it’s a scam.

Simply amazing!!!!
This was such a wonderful experience all made up by the Roman God himself
DENNIS
He was amazing and so so clever and knowledgable and helpful. From start to finish he was funny, kind, caring, always happy to answer any questions you have, he made sure everyone understood and was happy to repeat parts if needed. It was a very busy day when we went and he kept us all together allowed us to wonder off and explore- he would then wave his white flag high in the air for us to return and Carry on the tour.
This tour 100% wouldn’t have been the same without him.
Highly recommend this tour it’s a MUST and if the option is there DENNIS is the guy to have : )

We did the Colosseum tour today with Yuri and would recommend to all wanting to visit. There are tickets and options for individual tickets but we’d 100% recommend a group tour. Without Yuri, we’d have missed out on so much- we saw and learnt about everything there was to know about the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum. The nicest and most knowledgeable tour guide ever which made our last day in Rome so memorable! Thank you so much Yuri.

So happy we chose a tour of the Vatican City through Italy Wonders! It was a big tour group (we selected that option) which we were initially a bit apprehensive about but that didnt impact the experience at all. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide, Frederico, was very professional, friendly, knowledgeable and organised - he told us what to expect, gave clear instructions, navigated the crowds well and kept the group together all the while delivering an engaging and informative tour. Earpieces were provided so that we could all hear. We did the 11:30am tour on a hot day (also something we were a bit worried about when booking) but it was very manageable, we did not spend much time in the sun and most of the tour and stops are indoors. 10/10!!

George was an exceptional guide who made our tour of the Colosseum both fun and informative. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of this iconic landmark, and he shared his expertise with us in a way that was easy to understand and engaging.

This was our first experience of Rome after arriving (Friday 21st October, 2022, 3pm tour of the Colosseum including arena floor, Forum and Palatine Hill) and it was the perfect start to our trip. Dennis was the best guide we could have wished for. His passion and knowledge of Rome, both ancient and modern, was incredible, vast and a joy to listen to. He was extremely personable and engaging and kept us entertained with his facts for the full three hours despite already having done two other tours earlier in the day! I would highly recommend him and this tour to anyone hoping to have the history of ancient Rome brought to life. I already want to come back and take it all in again and I might have to! Dennis told us so much great stuff that I just hope I can remember it all! Thank you Dennis, you made the Colosseum everything and more than I hoped it would be.

Our tour with Marcius was incredible. Marcius is not only extremely knowledgeable, he also guided the tour with enthusiasm, engaging the audience. The time simply flew by, leaving us with a ton of new information and understanding of the Roman sites, culture and day to day life. Highly recommend this tour!

Incredible tour with Renata, whose knowledge of the history of Rome and the fascinating interplay with the Vatican is vast. The tour takes you from the very beginning of the Vatican Museum through the extensive art collections and finally ends with Michelangelo's magnum opus, the Sistine Capital. This tour is a must for anybody visiting Rome who wants to see and learn about one of the most important sites from Ancient Rome through the modern day.

We just experienced the Colosseum and Forum tour today with Dennis. He was a marvelous tour guide! Full of information, but better yet he was charming, patient, and delivered all this wonderful history to us with a great sense of humor, empathy and relatability to the current world. It was around a three hour tour, and we could have spent several more hours with him as he shared his knowledge of this city, this former empire, and its peoples, architecture and history with us.
We had an English speaking group of maybe 14, and they supply audio devices that worked very well as we would work through some of the more crowded areas of the tour.
Again, Dennis, who works with Vatican archival issues, is a charming guide who offers so much information for the history novice or a serious historian of ancient history.

Diego was very active (he walked us all over instead of just standing there telling us or pointing as the others did). You could tell how passionate he was for architecture and history. He even played sounds for us and told us to imagine being in this place and what would be happening around us. We felt very privileged to be part of his group. For me not being much into history and also not knowing a lot of Roman history, he was absolutely engaging. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience Diego!

On the "Colosseum Tour with Arena Access and Ancient Rome," how long does the guide spend on the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill? Would this be appropriate for a 12-year old and 8-year old?

The whole tour took 3 hours and 30 mins. We spent in the Colosseum around 2 hours, and the rest 1 hour and a half we visited Palatine Hill and Roman Forum. Since you also have children with you, I think it would be better to book a tour as early as possible in the morning since it’s not that hot outside. Along the tour there are going to be at least 2 water fountains where you can refill your water supplies :)

It looks like most people have booked these tours once they get there. Has anyone booked these online? I was hoping to get most tours, etc organised before we get there (25th-29th April) as I want to make sure we plan as many things in as possible. Also, when your tour finishes are you able to stay in the colosseum or vatican to have a look around on your own afterwards? Thanks!

We booked prior to going online. There were multiple guides outside these venues willing to take you on a tour. Booking ahead we had tickets no waiting in line. Also allowed us to have a great grasp on our budget.

I used the website "colosseumandvaticantour" (the post won't allow be to put the website address)
As I was a solo traveller, the tour was recommended to me by a tourist staying at my hotel and he said ask for "Viviana". The tour did not disappoint. I thoroughly enjoyed the it.
At the time, all I had was a street name (Via Frangipane, 30) which was near the Coleseum and so I went to find it. The street may not look as though it has much on it, but do persevere and find their office, it is worth it as I think negotiating a price in person will ensure that you get the best deal rather than booking online, which the office assistant advised and I was able to do.

No but the two companies of guide tours have a business relationships. If you do tours at the colosseum you are not allowed to do tours at the Vatican
