The Secret Places and Hidden Spaces Rome Walk was the best tour I took on my 10 day trip to Italy. I've done LOTS of tours and found this one particularly good because Janet is such a good guide. Her knowledge of what she covered, her deep respect for Rome history and culture and her language skills (Janet is American)... More

We took both the VIP WIne Tour and Skip the line Vatican tour - what great guides. The Wine Tour took us to places that the tourist usually doesn't see and the tour guide, Cynthia was so knowledgable about the wine and Rome. Great insights on the types of wine produced in Italy, with a different look at Rome. The... More

We did multiple tours while in Italy and this was by far the very best. Our guide was knowledgeable but didn't lecture. She shared fun facts as well as the information on both architecture and history. Furthermore, our group was small and intimate (6 visitors) which made it a much more personal tour. I looked around at all the 20+... More

We love Rome walks. We've done three tours with them now and loved everyone of them. So much info, history and off the beaten track info on Rome!

I have been on multiple walks with this great company during my 3 trips to Rome. The guides are always knowledgeable and kind - aware of the group dyanamics and eager to share their deep knowledge of this fabulous city. They are always on time, always informative. My most recent guide Francesca was a gem - and quite charming in... More

We had a fabulous 3 hour walk through the Jewish Ghetto and Tratevere on October 31st. Our guide, Margarita, was absolutely wonderful. We had done 3 walks with Rome Walks in 2013 and we're now 4 for 4.

We took the 4 hour historian led tour. Francesca, our tour leader, was enthusiastic, deeply knowledgeable and exuded a wonderful love for the art, history and key Vatican characters. The information exchanged and the methods of delivery supported a valuable learning experience.

I was extremely satisfied of the experience we had with Margherita in the tour of the Colosseum and Roman Forum. She led us to a trip through ancient Rome with new eyes, and was able to transmit us her passion for history. She has been good in keeping high the level of engagement making it very interactive and answering all... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
