Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Walking along the Via Francigena we entered the regional park of Veio, a beautiful area that used to be the site of the ancient Etruscan town of Veio, then conquered by the Romans in the 4th century B.C.

The open countrysides, the valleys and the streams are filled with history and culture from 900 years BC. Every step is filled with natural beauty of surrounding nature. Your journey also takes you along he path where the Etruscans lived and flourished centuries ago. Remnants from he Etruscans can be seen in their loving areas as well as there respectful burial chambers.

We were told we could only visit the sanctuary not the tombs as the guide has been off sick for months and visitors are not allowed to go to the tombs without a guide. The two men on site, one of whom spent almost our entire visit sitting in his car decided about twenty minutes after we arrived they were closing for lunch and we and the other two visitors had to leave. No maps, no leaflets - and 4 euros!!

The small area that we did see and the temple reconstruction were worthwhile but the run-down shed with toilets that had not even been unlocked that day speaks to the lack of interest and enthusiasm of the staff on-site.
