I highly recommend anyone that wants a guided tour in Rome, to book through VIPinItaly!
My wife and I were recently (Dec 2015) in Rome for our Honeymoon and wanted to take some tours of specific attractions in Rome. I was very frustrated to find that most tours (from other websites/companies) had been completely sold-out, or very over priced if you wanted a private tour VIP experience. Upon my research, I came across this smaller company (VIPinItaly). They had all the tours we wanted to experience listed on their website and also had the availability (unlike their competitors). I did have a few questions about the options available, and I did not want to make an international call on my US based cell phone; so my wife and I decided to visit their offices in Rome. When we arrived, we were greeted by a lovely young lady (Elda?) who was more than happy to help us. They were able to answer all our questions and helped us book the exact tour we were looking for. She gave us specific directions on where we needed to meet for the tours and also took my number down to communicate.
When it came close to the time for the tour, I was pleasantly surprised at the personal attention our guide gave us. She communicated with me via text to make sure that we knew where to go and was waiting for us outside when we arrived. We had a completely private tour (Catacombs and Crypts) with just me, my wife, and our VIPinItaly Guides. The tour itself was very fun and informative and genuinely what we expected. It was the level of personal attention and customer service that pleasantly surprised us. Our guide went above and beyond into making sure we were happy and taken care of. She also shared her knowledge about Rome and gave us recommendations of places to eat and things to see.
We purchased tours from 2 other companies/websites on this trip, and neither of them came close to the VIP service and experience that VIPinItaly provided. I highly recommend their services to anyone that is vacationing in Rome.

My husband loves history, but I selected the guided tour to skip the lines. We went with Viator. We met at their office and our group walked to the Colosseum which was about a 5 minute walk. The tour guide was knowledgeable, funny and he connected with the group. It was nice to skip the long security line even at our 5:00 tour time. You can definitely get good pictures from outside, but you must go inside to grasp how huge it is. After the guided tour ended, we could stay as long as we wanted.

We had an amazing tour on Oct 5, 2021, in large part due to our guide Flavio. He was smart, entertaining, and he really new his stuff. This was our 5th visit to the Vatican, and this was by far the best tour. We learned many news things, and Flavio kept us moving at a good pace so we saw quite a bit in ur allotted time. We highly recommend this tour and Flavio!!!

Do NOT book this Coliseum trip!! This company was completely disorganized. It was an audio tour but you needed to download a random program and listen with your phone, which would completely drain you battery and data usage. The people in this company literally had no idea how to coordinate even a small group of people.

We booked this due to the fact it stated small tour and head sets. We waited over an hour at the start whilst being passed around to different organisers. No head sets. Group size was 30+. Further more entry to the attraction on this particular day was free. I have no idea what we paid £45 for but it was a rip off.

Our experience was beyond disappointing. I booked with this company through Viator. We had been in Positano and wanted to spend some time in Rome before going home. Because it was over Good Friday and the Saturday before Easter, I investigated and found a full day tour. We were to visit the Colosseum in the morning and Vatican City in the afternoon on Good Friday. We showed up at a tour office that was NOT VIPINITALY for the door to be closed and no one there. There were about 20 people standing around. Two office workers showed up 20 minutes after the time we were all told to be there to open the office. It was clear they were disgusted ewe all were there, as they had sent out an email the day before canceling our tour. No one had received an email from them. I was able to persuade one of the workers to call VIPINITALY. They told us that they would reschedule us for the next morning and that our tour of Vatican City would procede as planned that afternoon. Let me also say that we had paid to “skip the line” in both these places. We showed up to the VIPINITALY office for the afternoon tour and she walked us to another tour company and left us with them, telling us there would not be more than 15 people in our group. There were 27. Our “skip the line” tour took us 1:20 (yes, one hour and twenty minutes) to get us in to the Vatican Museum, and during this time we were also told we would not get to get in to St. Peter’s Basilica because it closed due to the fact it was Good Friday. I specifically booked a tour through a company so that we would be admitted to these places BECAUSE it was a holy day. The guide for Vatican City was very knowledgeable and did an amazing job keeping track of our group. We were not offered any compensation for a third of our Vatican City tour not happening. Then, unfortunately my boyfriend got sick that night. He was unable to go on the Colosseum tour. There were 28 people on that tour without my boyfriend. The guide was knowledgeable, but he was terrible at making sure the group stayed together and nearly walked off from the gate at Palentine Hill until I pointed out there were still people in our group not in yet. This tour was expensive, and the value for money paid was not there. I would not recommend this company to anyone under any circumstance.

We booked the Vatican Tour and the Colosseum, Palatino, Forum (no guide).
Our guide at the Vatican, Marie Anne, was very helpful and informative and made the experience a real joy, giving us information on many things which we would not otherwise have been aware of.
The only down side to the tour was actually finding the Office where we were to depart from on Via Leone. There is no signage outside the address to indicate that the VIPin Italy office lies within!! Some sort of banner or poster outside would be helpful. Also at the Colosseum, it would be helpful if our host displayed a flag or such like to make it easier to find them at the meeting point.
Otherwise, we were very pleased with the experience provided by VIPinItaly.

The guide was very precise and didn’t miss any detail. I consider using the same guide for other visits because it was a memorable experience. I suggest this agency because they are highly qualified and flawless. The guide was very professional and made us learn many new facts without getting bored.

My friend and I booked these guided tours to include the underground of the Colosseum prior to arrival in Rome as we had read that the queues were big. Queues didn't look too bad when we got there but I still think it's best to pre-book. We were greeted by a very friendly young lady outside the metro opposite the colosseum and she passed us onto a nice guy who walked us to the colosseum and sorted out our access. We were introduced to our guide who, unfortunately did not speak very good English. This spoilt the tour for us as we kept missing bits. Also he wasn't very engaging and seemed bored. We found this totally unacceptable as we had paid a lot of money for the tour and will never do it again. We have given feedback to the company to this affect so, hopefully, things will improve. However, when it came to meeting the guide for the tour of the Roman Forums, it couldn't have been more different. Our guide was lovely, she was very interesting and spoke perfect English even though she was from Serbia. We gave very good feedback to the company for her. Just a shame same couldn't be said for the colosseum guide. Loved seeing it though due the the history obviously so I would still recommend doing the tour.
