About What a Life Tours
In 2006 we began as a group of young and energetic Rome enthusiasts hoping to find a way to share our passion for this wonderful city with people from all over the world. We created a team made up of insider experts, savvy local guides and specialists in food, art and culture, developing what we believe is the most personal and authentic approach to tourism on the market. We’re all about enhancing the experience for you, the customer, because we used to be just like you – foreigners in this beautiful city, with high expectations on how we wanted to experience it. We genuinely want you to gain unforgettable, stress-free, local insight on your visit. So forget what you know about the typical commercial ‘tour guide’ with a raised umbrella and a rehearsed speech – let us show you the real heart of Italy and ensure you fall in love with this country, just as we have! - The What a Life Tours team

We were searching for a Vatican tour that included St. Peter's Church as well, because we read that many tour guides go only to the Museums. We contacted What a Life Tours in advance just to double-check, and we're assured that nothing changed in the itinerary. The tour was amazing, we were just 5 people, which made it a totally stress-free visit. Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed!

Where can I start! Joseph did an excellent job of keeping us informed prior to our tour, letting us know of meeting points changes, timings etc. This certainly helped as it avoided an inconveniences. Onto the tour, we had the pleasure of being guided by Giovanni. After initially meeting him outside the office, he greeted us and took us to a small café nearby where he provided us with delicious coffee and croissants! After breakfast, Giovanni introduced us to other members of the tour and we were on our way! From the get go, Giovanni made us feel relaxed and always made sure we were comfortable with his hospitality. We were marvelled by his wealth of knowledge and to provide centuries worth of history in only a few hours is a feat in itself! Giovanni excelled at this and his passion and personal connection to the city itself was very much welcomed as it kept us engaged and wanting to know more! We were never kept waiting and Giovanni always got us involved in the tour, making sure we knew exactly what we were seeing or reading! Despite the areas of interest being less busy, due the unfortunate circumstances, it was still busy enough to get lost in the crowds! Giovanni always kept the pace flowing smoothly and uninterrupted and his humour and charming characteristic always kept the group energetic. We'd be surprised if we heard of another tour group that could match the same level of knowledge and quality of the tour as Giovanni did! It was an extremely informative and well thought-out day of exploring and we very much appreciated the efforts in providing us with an unforgettable and detailed experience. A MASSIVE thank you to Giovanni, our tour guide and Joseph, our booking manager for giving us the opportunity to experience the Vatican City like no other. We cannot recommend this tour enough and we hope your business continues to flourish even more as you all deserve it!

We were so looking forward to both our What a Life tours in Rome but due to the Covid 19 effect, we have chosen to postpone our visit to a future date as well as our prepaid tours! What a Life tours have been fantastic in advising us to take either a voucher for 100% of the prepaid fees good for 2 years or a 90% refund...their prompt and efficient service guarantees that we will look forward to both these tours again! Thank you WALT!

Jad was entertaining and very adaptable to our group's desires. I highly recommend this company. Although I arrived a few minutes late to the tour, they were very understanding and waited for me. The early morning tour is very cool and allows you to see the Vatican before it crowds with people.

I wanted to express our appreciation of the tour and especially of our guide, Martina. Martina was an excellent guide as she knew exactly where to go when, and how we could make the most of our time and experience at the Vatican. She is extremely knowledgable, never made us feel rushed, and what she did best was take us through the Vatican by means of a story between the history of Raphael and Michelangelo. She really created an "experience" and not just a tour. Thank you Martina! We hope you all are safe and healthy...xo
