Overall, event is one of a kind, free, and the only hard part is just coming early and waiting. Seatwise - line up by 6:30 am if you want a really good seat. If you want to be up close to the pope, sit at the corner or by the wall in whatever section you are in so you can... More

It's the principal shrine of the Catholic Church, built on the site of St. Peter's grave, and the greatest italian architects built this basilica. You pre book tickets to go see the pope give his weekly sermon. You get very close to seeing the pope. The energy is awesome. There's about 6000-10000 people from all walks of life. Well worth the money.

This is administrative unit of the Vatican;s complex. All tourist can only do - is to watch on it from outside.

Extremely Fortunate and deeply honored to attend the weekly papal audience. The audience hall was very crowded but so worth it to see the pope and receive a blessing. Definitely, the highlight of our trip to Rome.
