Piazza Maggiore is really a very nice place to visit. It is at almost at the center of Bologna and has lots of historical and attractive places around, where you may get there by walk.

The main square in Bologna is a perfect starting point for discovering the town's main attractions. It is a spacious, sunny square with a lot of cafeterias.

On the main square you can visit Bologna's main cathedral San Petronio, and you can go shopping in the streets close to it: via D'Azeglio and via Indipendenza.

A must see in Bologna. Stay in the piazza for at least half hour to enjoy it and imagine how it looked centuries ago.
