Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The current synagogue was built in 1954 and spans two streets.
In the classic Bologna city planning, it is hard to see the building or take pictures due to the Portici (covered walkways) and skinny streets.

One can see the Star of David outside the building and a plaque commemorating the Bolognese victims of the Holocaust.
The inside is very beautiful, in a modern refined style and sets itself apart from the Baroque churches of the city.

One may notice the Military trucks placed outside of the synagogue, which is normal for many places of worship throughout Italy.

The Synagogue is not typically open for casual visits but does periodically take part in city events and tours for schools etc.
For info of holidays or worship times consult the synagogue directly.

Very nice synagogue with 1 warm community. This ancient synagogue is guarded by the army...
The military are also very friendly.
Unfortunately no indication or explanation about the place and history of the Jewish community of the city of Bologna where the Jews have resided for many centuries and for an extremely long time....
It misses a lot and this falls to the beautiful city of Bologna.
I hope the tourism union will remedy this because this is a crucial shortcoming!

Ps: Located not far from the historic center in 1 tiny street (nothing is indicated to find it)
