Great Museum on Enzo Ferrari and the History of Ferrari’s
A must visit when in Italy and the Emilia-Romagna region. This museum focuses primarily on the founder Enzo Ferrari and changes often. Since I planned on visiting both museums in one day I was here right when they opened. I spent about 3 hours here just drinking in the beauty of the works of art on display and taking detailed photographs but you could do it in an hour or an hour and a half if you wanted. For me the highlight was seeing my 2 favorite Ferraris in person: a 1969 GTB4 Daytona Spyder, and a 1984 Testarossa. Why are they my favorites? Because I saw them on Miami Vice back in the day. Never mind the ones in the show were initially knock offs, but hey. The Daytona was in its original condition after sitting in a barn in Japan for 40 years and is waiting to be restored. I also got to see my first F40 in person. After lunch nearby I headed to the Museo Ferrari Maranello, in Maranello about 13 miles or 20 kilometers away. Both museums can easily be done in a day and I even took public transportation, by bus.

    Enjoy the classic Ferraris
The second of the 2 Ferrari museums. This one is a 5/10 minute walk from Modena station so easy to get to. Located in Enzo Ferraris old home and a state of the art complex. Predominately the classic Ferraris and what a wonderful sight they are! Well worth a visit for any car enthusiast.

    #2 auto tour
ENZO FERRARI MUSEO 10 minute walk from train station. Way understated museum from the exterior, but interior is a wow. I got really lucky with a taxi from the Lamborghini museum. (No ubers available ) Part of motivation was the recent lambo versus ferrari movie. So I got to visit these rivals the same day. I think I like Ferrari style more(less flash). (There is a fast train about 20 minutes from Bologna. I took it back) Very impressive museum. Much larger than I anticipated. (Suggestion—add on a Maserati tour, it’s nearby.)

The staff where fantastic and very helpful as we where due to attend Saturday , but due to an incident on the trains we could not make it . The staff illena and her team were very understanding and honour our ticket . The local town is beautiful too. We’ll worth exploring too.

    Where It All Began
To visit this outstanding museum, stay in central Modena and walk to the museum. Book tickets in advance. Loads of Ferraris on display and much to learn about the legend that is Enzo Ferrari-in the place he was born

What a cool experience! We are not really fans of long lines to see the hot spots, but with some luck and perseverance we got there around 11am and shared the space with a small crowd. The car collection is amazing! The story is inspiring. We definitely recommend this tour if you are in Modena and would like to learn a little about Enzo Ferrari.

    Very well done
I’m not really that into cars but I couldn’t not go here, really - and I ended up spending about 1hr 45 mins here which says it all. The newer gallery is stunning, beautifully designed and an excellent showcase for the cars. Make sure you stay to watch the multimedia presentation, which I think must run every 30 mins, as it is very well done (although I’d be very surprised if you were in and out of that gallery in less time anyway). There is a smaller presentation, including numerous engines, in Enzo Ferrari’s house and original workshop, now nicely converted. I was very pleased to get a British style cup of tea in the cafe! The shop area is as expensive as you might expect but you can get your photo taken in one of the cars which costs from €15 so that makes quite a nice souvenir of the visit anyway.

The museum is an art work by itself. When you enter, expect to be blown away by a short movie about Enzo (my eyes teared a bit) and of course all the beautiful cars on display.

The experience was really fun and very exotic. but i really wish there were more cars show cased as it is supposed to be in the heart of Enzo’s hometown. it had merely 10-14 cars and some motors.

Came here on the train from Bologna which was very easy - the museum is only a few minutes walk from the station. How much you love the museum really depends on how interested you are in cars (I'm not, it was a birthday treat for the other half) but the audiovisual presentation is good and I found the old house more interesting than the modern collection.
