Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This not-so-large square is lined with beautiful old buildings. There are plenty of cafes and shops. The entire square is a pedestrian zone, so there are no cars and one can walk around and enjoy the beautiful architecture.

This is the main square in Ravenna and one time political and religious centre of administration. The Ravenna Town Hall still stands on the western end of the square. The square is surprisingly compact for such a prominent location. Several of the city landmarks are in this location including the two columns, Palazzo Apostolico, the former headquarters of the Banca Nazionale del Lavoro and Palazzo dei Rasponi del Sale. Beautiful place.

This is a charming square that you will probably come to know well if you are staying a few days in the city. There are a number of restaurants and it is full of life.

Lovely outdoor plaza perfect for taking refreshment, browsing in stores, or simply revel in the sunshine and admire the passing parade. Slow down and take it all in.....

The main central piazza in Ravenna, large enough to have busy and quiet areas, where one can enjoy people-watching, a drink or a meal, while resting from exploring Ravenna on foot.

For us Ravenna is really cute city. You can "smell" history all over the place. We were also suprised with smaller number of tourists, comparing with Verona or Venice. Maybe that's why this city is very clean :) I think that people maybe don't pay enough attention on Ravenna. The city have great and very rich history behind it, very well preserved monuments, so there is no reason to avoid this city. Piazza itself is cute, peaceful, you can stop by, eat something or drink coffee.

The centre of Ravenna is beautiful and this square is no exception.
A good place to pause and people-watch and plan your next adventure in the labyrinthine streets.

We spent a few happy hours eating and drinking in the Piazza. There was a music festival on while we were there. It was lovely just to sit and soak up the atmosphere.

We arrived by train into Ravenna and by walking out of the station we came to this beautiful square. It is surrounding by some interesting historical buildings, as well as the usual selection of bars and restaurants. On the western side of the square there is the Palazzo del Comune with an arcade at ground level, Palazzetto Venezione on the south side againwith a wide arcade below the building built by the Venetians, the Prefettura, Palazzo Rasponi del Sale and the Banca Nazionale del Lavoro building with the public clock. The city tower is visible from the square and is 39 metres high.

Quite small in size, and really of little architectural interest.Suffers in comparison to Ravenna's major attractions.
