A Roman arch

A Roman arc , you may have seen many but they are still different. This one is on the opposite side of town from the Tiberius bridge , connected by the Main Street.

Dedicated to the Emperor Augustus by the Roman Senate in 27 BC, this is the oldest surviving triumphal Roman archway. There is not much left of the original structure but it has been renovated tastefully. A good place to sit and watch the world go by.

A great place to feel how old the city is, but same time it's surrounded with modern stores and a lots of people speaking different language. Romanian artefact

Still standing on its original location but much of the original arch is lost. However still worth having a look as it gives an idea of how those Roman cities were accessed

While renovated with a different architectural style than its original it is a very impressive triumphal arch. Part of the original has been destroyed but there is a great overview nearby to give you an idea of what it would have looked like before renovations/partial destruction.

The Arch of Augustus is the oldest roman arch remaining. It is build at the end of Via Flaminia which was connecting Rome with the cities from Romagna area. It's really a beautiful piece of history and a very uniqe one!
