A Piece of History

Always a good idea to check out the local church. Praying helps most all of our situations. Glad we climbed a few more stairs!!

This church located in Corniglia is a beauty with color paintings on the walls and ceiling. Entry is free.

You had to come all the up here, so make the most of it. You'll see more fascinating things in Cinque Terra and Italy, but this will help you spend some time in Corniglia.

We were very happy that we visited this little church in Corniglia. It had a peaceful feeling so we lit a few special candles and counted our blessings.

This is more a review for Corniglia as a whole rather than St Pietro, though it is worth the short walk up to the church for a look inside but also because the viewpoint here provides commanding views across Corniglia as a whole and its surrounds. We visited all 5 of the Cinque Terre but agreed Corniglia is the most... More

Nothing to write home about, just a church and it looks good on the background. It's hard to make a church step up.

If you're hiking through Cinque Terre towns, one of the interesting types of stops is churches like this. Just like the others, it's worthwhile to find your way here, especially given how small Corniglia is.

We arrived in Corniglia on a Sunday morning by train. As we climbed the many steps to the Village, it started to rain. This beautiful little church was a great sanctuary from the weather - we stayed almost an hour admiring the simple beauty of the old stone structure. We lit a candle, gave a donation, and went on our... More

This Church is on the other side of town up high on the hill looking back down to the town offering nice views of Corniglia and the surrounds. This looked like the main church and although it still has a simple façade it was quite impressive inside.

To went to Corniglia just by train. Corniglia is in the middle of the mountain. This church is very beautiful. You have to see!
