The five star rating is for the view. We climbed up from Montorosso. That is a pretty good climb, but lovely. Almost all of the hike is in shade.
Nice Sanctuary, a shrine place, the church is small and very pretty; she is on a height near the sea in Monterosso; a nice place for a walk.
Over 2 Hours up hill almost all steps. Very challenging but very rewarding! Gorgeous views and a beautiful historic Montessori. Walk downhill towards Vernassi twice as difficult!
