We had a lovely hike. We enjoyed the history and the views. This hike was much easier than expected, a nice day. It was great to see parts of Cinque Terre that we otherwise would not have seen.

Hi there! I saw your cinque terre review on trip advisor and had a few questions. My family (me, my husband, 12 year old daughter, 13 year old son) is planning a trip for next June and I am overwhelmed with the info on the Cinque Terre area (we are also looking at Porto Venere or Portofino). For the Cinque Terre... - what town is the best for snorkeling and exploring in the water? My kids and I LOVE to swim and explore in the water. - which of the 5 towns is the most CONGESTED? Wall-to-wall people. We will need to avoid this town(s). - are there any unique/special accommodations you could recommend (like an agriturismo)? - did you take a cooking class, or go on a fishing trip, or do any kayaking? If so, would you recommend doing it with the company/tour you used? - did you go to any amazing but cheap / no thrills eateries that you can recommend? - did you have a favorite gelato place? Thank you SO MUCH in advance for your expertise! We are going over there to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday and want it to be the best! Meghan Carpenter Texas
