Breathtaking view

Amazing panoramic view over the city. Struggled to find a free parking but once we got to the top everything was forgotten. It's fantastic

We arrived in Genoa from Rome by a late train in mid-September 2016. It was a Sunday evening and the local staircases (Salita Molini and Salita di San Francesco) leading up to the Belvedere from the Via Cairoli were closed, probably because of the late hour, although it was still daylight. Worth at least passing by and taking beautiful pics. This city is a beautiful old city which has a lot of beautiful architecture. We enjoyed just walking around and looking at all the beautiful monuments and buildings.

Spianata Castelletto A very enjoyable experience. Accessible by lift – tickets can be bought in various locations including the newsagents next to its entrance. The views over Genova are very good. We chose a mild morning, took our time and even enjoyed a little chat with the locals. A must see location when in Genova. Giorgio Federico If you find... More

Whether you get here by the #36 bus, the ascensore, or the funicolare, you're going to get an excellent view of Genoa from one of its prettiest parks. Bars and gelaterie abound, so you won't go thirsty either. Sunset is especially fine from here, but really, at any time of day - even in the rain - the view is... More

Accessed by a lift from near the palacio de Rossi, the views from the terrace are spectacular especially if you are lucky enough to visit on a clear day

Despite our hotel marking out where to take the elevators upto this viewpoint, we lost direction and stumbled into the Zecca-Righi funicular station. We eventually found our way, and a helpful local guided us to purchase tickets (under 1€ per ascent/descent) at an automated machine (which didn’t seem to have any English instructions) and validate them before we entered a...
