You can catch a train from either Genova's main station (Piazza Principe) or the second largest station (Genova Brignole) to Nervi. The cost is 1.60 Euros one way per person and the journey takes approx. 25 minutes, in which the train goes along the shore. You can walk north an south along the cliffs to the many little bays for swimming and the small harbour. There are eateries and bars along here as well and entries to private residences and walkways to the streets of the town. Stunning views and you can see why they call this coastline the Italian Riviera

Amazing views and great place to escape the hectic of the city. Nice walk next to the sea, ending in the great Parchi di Nervi

Very nice path along the sea. I would advice to take your other half and walk at the end of the day and enjoy the sunset.

Great place to have a walk, by day or by evening. Also, if you want to swim, I recommend to go to the left from the Train Station, a 20 mins walk and you will find a little beach ( with rocks not sand),. Great place, very clean water. The passegiata itself is not practical, as most of the benches... More
