This cathedral was a complete surprise. Unlike most Italian churches we had seen this one was completely unornamented and looked more like an English church after the reformation had removed the former mediaeval splendour. In this case I think the town's poverty kept it simple. There are 3 chapels which are ornate sponsored by benefactors. Some interesting 10th c. Stonework... More

A lovely cathedral with religious reliefs. You can go downstairs to visit the crypt and baptistery. Free entry but leave a donation.

This cathedral is well worth a visit. There is a friendly, knowledgeable priest on hand sometimes to enhance the experience with his knowledge of the history of Ventimiglia and the cathedral. The crypt is interesting too.

Not super grand or beautiful but it was cute and free. There is a huge arch to the right of it however and if you walk through that there is a tiny park with benches and an amazing view of the sea which I found to be nicer than the cathedral.

The modern town may seem rather run-down but the short walk up to the high town is well worth it. The cathedral - free entry - is a beautiful plain building. Lovers of the romanesque must see it.

In truth there isn't much to see in Ventimiglia after you've taken in a walk along the seafront, had a look at the market, strolled through the park, and maybe taken in the shops. So you can walk across the foot bridge that divides the old town from the new and then up the steep and winding streets (not all... More

We were not sure what to expect, but the cathedral was beautiful. Attended a 9.00 am service and found it a wonderful experience. Certainly a place to reflect quietly

Very old church, good maintained. Tourists are welcomed, on of the personnel even told something about the cathedral. In Italian of course but the have some printed info in other languages. A little museum part in former baptistery and crypt, everything is free but you can leave some donation of course.
