You will not be disappointed when visiting the gardens. The views from the top are great. You can adjust your route in the park depending on how much time you have.

Impressive and huge botanical garden that stretches across an entire hillside down to the sea. We visited on a very hot day and unfortunately there was only one place to buy drinks (and very basic food). Few opportunities to park your car outside.

We visited here several years ago and found it a delightful location to enjoy the superb Mediterranean gardens, even a roman road. Lots of walking.

Talk about an overlooked place. This is really a must see garden. It was established privately by a chap who was enthused about both common and exotic plants from around the world. It is now run by the University of Genoa. It was severely damaged...More

Not an easy place to access by public transport, especially for an afternoon visit as buses back to Ventimeglia only go at 3.30 and 5.30pm but worth a visit with some prior planning. If you are coming from France it is nearer the French border...More

A lot of the guidebooks make out this is in Ventimiglia - it isn't it's almost in France! We gave up in the end but it's 5km out of town and not well signposted at all!

You can get there by bus from Ventimiglia . There is one at 9.30 from the main road near the railway station. The bus stops opposite the Hanbury Gardens and it costs about 3 euros. There is a website rivieratvaposti.orario... More
