Beautiful monument to cycling. You must ride up her if you are a cycling enthusiast. No where near the traffic of other rides and so nice to be there when you arrive. Donate a euro in the chapel.

Nice place to visit if you are into biking. In the museum you can see some old pictures from Giro Italia, but also bikes - from old ones to the very modern models.

This was definitely one of the highlights of our break, especially as we knew nothing about it beforehand. It's a chapel and a museum dedicated to the patron saint of cyclists. It's heavily road race influenced, both the chapel and museum house some stunning bicycles...More

This is about 10km from Bellagio, up a reasonably challenging climb. The church has become a shrine to cyclists with bikes, jerseys and other memorabilia. There is a great cycling museum next to it. A must for cyclists.

The most wonderful little church at the top of a mythical climb. It is full of bikes and Italian cycling memorabilia. Museum next door is a must. The climb itself is about 10 km and quite challenging, but a wonderful experience.

Cycle to the top and check out the chapel and the museum. Great views. A cycling Mecca. The ride down had about 20 switchbacks- be careful on weekends, lots of traffic.

Passed by on a day returning from Barni, its a very lovely place and so nice to see a museum dedicated to those with the bicycle passion, also amezing view. Might be cold so make sure you have a warm hat and scarf. Must see.

The breathtaking view you can enjoy from Madonna del Ghisallo is one of the reasons that 10 years ago convinced me to buy an house in this area and two years ago to open my house to guests coming from all other the world. If...More

Fantastic museum of cycling memorabilia focussing (obviously) on Italian cycling but also paying respect to the great and the history of the sport. I unfortunately wasn't on a bike, but this would be a suitable reward for completing the climb out of Bellagio.

We didn't notice any hiking trails (not that we were specifically looking out for them) nor signposts pointing to trails. The road up is narrow, and I would think a dangerous undertaking to try to walk it. My suggestion... More

Thanks for the replies. We caught the public bus (C36, I think) from near the Hotel IL Perlo Panorama, near the outskirts of Bellagio, which was close to where we stayed. The museum was terrific and church very interesting... More
