This villa is worth a detour, a must see. Take your time to explore the garden and all the rooms open to the public. Napoleon was here, we were here .... Just overwhelming.

I was impressed with this villa interior. It has unbelievable frescos and paintings. The rooms are gorgeous, it is a mini Versailles. It is very unassuming though and free of charge. Nice views of Lake Como to enjoy after the visit.

Free entry, which was a bonus! We walked to the Villa from the centre of Como, it doesn't take that long and you can enjoy the views on the way. This villa must have been amazing in its day! It's empty but the ceiling art in the rooms is quite vibrant and good detail as well as the beautiful glass... More

Romantic stroll on Como. You can bring your own food 9r you can eat at the two bars located near by. It has two swimming pools on site. Excellent place to ride bikes too.

Can walk there from Como center. Inside can go for free, also nice garden, but garden is quite ordinary, nothing unusual.

I spent a good two hours here wandering through the gardens, workshed and home. A lucky choice was to eat a salad lunch at the cafe, a walk to the right of the entrance after you have gone in. What with the magnificent views and great value salad, life was just as good as it can get! Don't forget to... More

This is the largest villa is Como and is now open to the public, free of charge. There is no original furniture but the frescoes, glass chandeliers and other decorations give a good impression of what the villa must have been like at its peak. There are wonderful views from many of the windows which overlook the gardens down to... More

Facing the lake at the ferry station, turn left and follow the lakeside path past the Volta memorial and the seaplane hangar. The large cream-coloured villa is the main feature ahead. Entry is free and the rooms are impressive if rather bare; the tiny theatre is a must.

Searched Lake Como for a picnic spot as a driving break on the way between Lautebrunnen and Sirmione. Villa Olmo was the perfect spot, easy parking, brilliant sunshine, stunning villa and wonderful views. Didn't go in the villa due to previous reviews but the position and grounds of the villa are free to use! Take a picnic, chill, enjoy the... More
