This Interior is also unusual--the transepts are stunning & the HUGE chapels astounding! Don't forget to pop a coin in the light machine ..the illuminations are wonderful!

The catherdral looks different styles from different angles. It is opposite the Ducal palace and well worth a visit. It has a lot of lovely architecture, and a lovely feeling inside.

We were able to find a parking space right by it at about 8 am, but didn't know it's the Duomo, until I looked up photos on TripAdvisor. I didn't see any signage outside the building. The sign is there after you walk in to...More

The church is rather stark inside compared to other churches, but don't forget to press on and see all the different adjoining rooms and chambers.

Cattedrale di San Pietro is a roman catholic cathedral in the city center in Piazza Sordello and is a seat of the bishop. The front part is baroque and has gothic tower, so is very interesting for the mixure of styles. Interior is very beautiful.

I liked the interior of the duomo built originally as a Romanesque church with later additions. The external porch and facade is also fine. I like religious buildings which are les rather than more so not too much baroque decoration no matter how fine the...More

Quite small for a duomo but very pretty inside. Quite a lot to see with various side chapels, etc. but I think I'm a bit jaded as it seemed very like the many other churches I've seen in Italy. I preferred sitting in the amazing...More

I love the different exterior architectural features of the Cathedral. The interior is even more interesting and worth a visit. I was amazed at the number of pillars and the artwork is beautiful.
