I can not believe this free, it was very busy and we had to queue for about 40 minutes, once at the front you go through airport style security and then in the lift all the way to the top. You get a great view of milan through the windows and can spend as much time as you want up... More

We'd read that it was free on a Sunday to travel to the top of the Palazzo Lombardia so, coupled with our visit to see the Bosco Verticale and the Brera district, decided to take a ride up the fast lift to the top floor. It was a glorious sunny day which provided wonderful 360 degree views. Especially interesting to... More

Visited here one Sunday morning after finding out about this place online so decided to visit as it was a short walk from our hotel. It's quite easy to find located in Milan's business district. You have to enter the building through entrance 'N1' where they have airport style security so be prepared to have your bags and person searched.... More

It was interesting to look around and marvel at the modern architecture. However, we had been led to believe that it was possible to ascend to the top on Sundays, but this did not seem to be the case.

Compared with the brutalist architecture of Italy's first "skyscraper" built in the late 50s, the new seat of Lombardy's regional administration is more worthy of the name. Not one of the most iconic examples of recent architecture, to be sure.

Only open every Sunday you can get a breathtaking view of the city of Milan from 39 stories high. It was crystal clear the day we went up, we could see Monte Rosa over 70 miles away and the tiny planes landing and taking off from Linate. And with no time limit its a great way to spend some time... More

On Sunday at 10am you can ascend to the top floor to have a wonderful view over the city. Close to it are the railway stations, Bosco Verticale, a bit further are the Cathedral, Sforzesco Castle, Cemetery, Convention Centre and up to the very far, the Expo with a bit of imagination. Don't miss out the beautiful columns when you... More

Was at a business event here, and we had dinner and drinks on the exclusive top floor. The views over Milan from here are amazing, take a look at the pics. I don't think you can get acçess to this as a tourist, but if you can, have a trip! The elevator goes so fast your ears pop! Simply stunning!

Italy has a old (historic, better!) structure, but this building is different. It remembers New York. It is sign that Milano is a different city. There is parks, stores and cafes here. Recommend.

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighbourhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
