The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.

Beautiful palazzo filled with Renaissance furnishings. The brothers separate apartments have wonderful pieces. One of the beds is jaw dropping. The temporary exhibition of fantastical bird figures is scattered throughout.
Part of the 4 houses plan in Milan for discounted admission.

I would not recommend this. The staff stood around staring and talking. I could not hear the commentary on the headphones. It detracted from the event . It was not a pleasant or enjoyable visit. I felt uncomfortable being starred at so much.

Dear Joanne, thanks for the review and for the feedback ... it is really important for us. Unfortunately, I fear you came at a time when the museum had few visitors and the attention of the surveillance was therefore too zealous. We are very sorry that this made your experience unpleasant. We hope you have the opportunity to return to the Museum, perhaps on the occasion of other initiatives such as concerts or theater!

Given it was our third visit to Milan, we were looking for new things a little off the beaten tourist track. This museum fits the bill. Perfectly restored and preserved we almost had it it to ourselves, and it was very pleasant to wander without crowds. Well presented, with an entertaining audio guide. The history of the family and the house made for a very interesting visit.

Excellent chance to see a renaissance "palazzo" first hand ;) The house is left as it was, very well organised with the headphone guides, you can easily see everything alone and take your time. The staff is very friendly and explains things if you need.

So enjoyed this place. To think two brothers created this living memory of 15th century Renaissance Italy. Really worth the visit.

Entrance is 10 euros but was included with my Lombardy Museum Pass.
Entertaining, free audio guide . Good Map and laminated cards in every room for the smaller items.
These 19th century collectors of the Renaissance had an eye on all the mod cons of their day and that's what makes this a terrific time machine of a mansion. Clever showers, taps, heating, all disguised in a Renaissance cloak. Even the piano was beautifully boxed. Clever chaps indeed.
The Grand Salon's XXL chandelier used electricity yet the Armoury contained only blades not firearms to suit Renaissance norms.
Loved the ceilings and the various inscriptions with their moral messages, especially in the dining room. The luxurious wall coverings which could be worn at Milan Fashion Week contrast with the various 'memento mori' scattered about - could I borrow that golden bedside skull ?
Sala Bevilaqua contains the famous Madonna and Christ Child painting .
Interesting that this was always a family home and only opened as a museum in 1994.
Wonderful experience inside here on a very rainy May afternoon.
