There was a bit of rubbish in the canal which took away from its beauty, the restaurant we went to was very average, we had much better meals in other places in Milan.

We came here on the last day late in the afternoon. The district is a convergence of canals with little bridges crossing over them. Both banks are totally lined with restaurants, cafes and bars and there is everything from exclusive dining to holes in the...More

Well worth a trip to Naviglio Grande. We stopped at several places for a drink and people watching. Felt totally safe. Surprised to find the water very clear with fish in the canal. Also saw folks in gondolas.

A very nice, vibrant and trendy place in Milan, on the canal. Many different restaurants and bars with plenty of cuisines to chose from. Very busy and popular with the locals. A Metro station is 1 minute away.

We went to a martini bar on the canal. It would have been an enjoyable evening with the exception of the vendors trying to sell flowers and trinkets.

We had read that this was a great place for night life. I don’t know that I’d really agree. It’s two sides of a canal that doesn’t have much water in it with a lot of overpriced restaurants. The walkways on both sides are narrow.

We visited via a food tour - Milan Apperitivo Tour with City Unscripted. Tour went well beyond the supposed end time and we loved it.

The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient
days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar
to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the
Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are
two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande.
The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk
with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes
in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns
