Great Food, Medicre Music

Went there for my wife's birthday with my two sons. This was meant to be the highlight of our long weekend trip to Milan. We were placed at a table at the rear, hey ho, but the... read more

Went there at the end of October to attend a jazz concert. Good music offer, obviously focused mostly on jazz and blues. The problem is that they leverage on being almost a monopoly in Milan in terms of musical offer, and so they put zero care on everything else but the artist. Extremely expensive prices for everything (from tickets to... More

Our hotel contacted this club on our behalf to make enquiries about price etc. We got a taxi to the location and on our arrival we were greeted by four unpleasant personnel sitting at the reception or pay-in desk. After a discussion with them about the price, we left, feeling very unhappy. We got the distinct impression that they did... More

A most enjoyable night. Great sound system. Located in the middle of lots of great restaurants. We will go again on our next visit!

If you have the chance to spend a night at the Blue Note Milano, you'll definetely love it. The atmosphere is excellent, the audio is clear and with an uniform distribution of the acoustic waves without echoes and a perfect time of reverber. The ground floor it's quite large and there is a great view from every spot of the... More

Well, this is the US-kind of jazz club I guess. A huge place. With tables with people eating around. And of course you hear them chatting while eating, you hear them ordering new stuff, you hear the sound of their flatware, ... This is not what I expect when going to a jazz club.

The concerts program is ok, unfortunately the staff is very impolite and prices are high. Jazz was born in a different environment.

We paid €35 each for Sunday brunch. The choice and quantity of food was excellent, but not worth €35 on its own so we were looking forward to some jazz. The stage had a baby grand piano, a double bass, a drum kit, music stands and seats so our expectations were high. Sorry to say it was just a duo.... More

Been there on several concerts of some great musicians. Every time the same disappointment: The drinks are terrible and terribly overpriced (€12 for a cocktail with way too much ice), the amplified sound is really poor and the tickets are a rip-off. A sad remake of the NYC original.

Foreword: I have been to Blue Note in the past and I am not hereby reviewing that experience. This time my intention was to attend to a concert by a cover artist of Frank Sinatra, playing on Friday at 9pm, using a voucher given by a friend to me as a wedding gift. I tried to make a reservation via... More

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighbourhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
