The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.

Beautiful
Oct 2021
Il Cenacolo is definitely a must-see in Milan, in Italy, in the world. You may be surprised that it is actually a mural painting, but this is another reason why you should visit the museum and see it: Da Vinci created a composition that also involves the hall on whose wall the painting stands. The technique, the details, the geometry, together they present a masterpiece. Wonderful!

a must see

Although very mutilated, still very worth while to see. The work is exceptional, even today. One can still see the brilliance of the paintor.

Brace Yourself for Poor Customer Service Experience
Jun 2021
Of course, you get to see THE Last Supper, and it was remarkable. But brace yourself for the poor customer service experience. You can ONLY get tickets online, and they ONLY open one week at a time, the very next week, so it has been impossible to get our tickets. The instructions on the website are really vague.
We happened to discover a friend is a guide, and she helped. It was stressful for her! Before you go, you can only carry a phone and wallet with you. All purses/backpacks have to be stored in the free lockers. Crazy. So, you MUST get there at least 20 minutes before your timeslot or you'll miss it! They won't accommodate lateness at all.

When you go inside, you will only have 15 minutes to view the painting. The whole experience is so stressful and unpleasant, along with the woman in the room whose job it is to corral the people out to the exit. People barking at you is so unnecessary! We're in our 50s!

And to top it off, the Dominican friar at the beautiful Santa Maria della Grazie barked at us that we couldn't go in. Only to pray, he said. We said, ok. He didn't budge from the door. Whatever!

And this was during COVID yellow when Italy is hoping to welcome tourists again. I hope your experience will be an improvement!

Well worth a visit with very interesting stories.

We were lucky to be able to get tickets while we were in Milan. Just 10 min walking distance from train station, this museum is right next to the beautiful Santa Maria Della Grazie church. Guided tours are all on Italian. Tickets can be purchased online but need to collect paper tickets at the ticket counter next to the museum. Bags are also not allowed in this have to deposit in the locker. It’s a pretty small compound and the only attraction is Leonardo da Vinci’s work in this wall. Well worth a visit with very interesting stories.

Unexpected
Oct 2020
It could be that it's like any great artwork that when you're actually there it seems surreal. We felt a little hurried through the first part but actually sitting in front of the actual Last Supper was an experience.

To admire in silence
Sep 2020 • Friends
I booked it for me and my family through the website. At my arrival there was no queue (please be sure you go to the ticket office first) and the 15 minutes visit was smooth and quiet.
The cenacolo is not a majestic and aggressive fresco, rather a discrete presence of the humanity of Jesus. Go there and admire it in silence. Then turn to the opposite fresco and you get why Leonardo was extraordinary for his times (and now). A crown jewel for Milan.
