This stadiums main entrance was closed but I was inside for a short look after speaking with a guard on another entrance. I think it was football team on lower level thats use it right now and rugby. He's english was not on a level that we could communicate. I was inside and took some photo. A roman style stadium. Built in 1807. Can have up to 40000 fans I dont know where them should stay or sit. The name of the stadium or my map was Arena Civica but I don't think that was the official name. Gianna Brera was a name that come up somewhere and that was an italian journalist or writer once in the time. I took some photo and said grazie mille for the chance to look. There were some guys running around on the stadium so maybe it is the place to be for athletics sport. Arena is close or inside a part of the Parco Sempione and around the tracks there are a high wall.

The stadium’s official name is Arena Gianni Brera, after the famous Italian writer and journalist, and it was opened in 1807. It is another example of neoclassical architecture, so typical for the city. The stadium can hold up to thirty thousand spectators and hosts mostly rugby and football games, concerts and cultural events.

If you have the chance to have a guided tour, it's something to visit.

Fantastic Roman type colosseum architecture but built in 1700 and 1800. Great for photographs, truly uncomfortable if you are a spectator. Watched a United FC of Manchester versus Brera match in April 2022 - no ladies WC facilities (other than a squat hole in ground type), no refreshment facilities inside and the seats are stone steps mostly uneven and quite dangerous as there are no front railings to prevent slipping down other than at the very bottom level before the track which surrounds the central pitch. The central area seemed to be reserved for officials/dignitaries and it has new concrete steps for seating which were more even underfoot. Whole infrastructure needs modernisation.

Very little, poor and old. Not free as mentioned in here. Ticket 5 euro per head. Please don't waste your money here. We visited in summer and there wasn't any service for drinking water.

It's quite plain stadium, which we stumpled upon while looking for aquarium. It has nice position, though, tucked away in the beautiful Parco Sempione.
Only remarkable architectural thing is a very interesting entry gate.

The tour is very short and the place is not very pretty. The entrance is free but they ask for a donation.

When we visited we were told at the main entrance that the stadium was closed. But one of the gates on the other side was open. So we got a sneak peek of this old stadium, which was nice. But even if it's completely closed, walking around the stadium would be awesome because of its history - it was first opened more than 200 years ago! Unfortunately we did not have the time (or the energy) to explore the park that's right next to it (Parco Sempione).
I heard about it because I was looking for all the football teams in the Milan area, and this stadium is home to a team called Brera Calcio, apparently the third Milan team in addition to AC Milan and Inter Milan.

Although not officially 'open to visitors' we managed a few minutes inside via the service gate.
You'd be forgiven for thinking that parts of it are Roman which is certainly not the case, it is much more modern than that. Some of the arena is certainly in the Roman style though.
On our visit the arena was laid out for football with a running track around.
We would like to see an event there but could see nothing to show what might be available.
