Best of Milan Walking Tour with Skip-the-Line to Duomo & ‘Last Supper’

1,277 reviews
More than 1,000 people visit Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper every day. Not surprisingly, visitors spend a lot of time waiting in for tickets and admission. On this walking tour of Milan, you’ll get skip-the-line admission to see the painting so you’ll have plenty of time to see rest of the city’s sights, including the Duomo and Sforza Castle. A small group means plenty of time for questions.

This restaurant is on the 7th floor of the fabulous La Rinascente Dept. Store next to The Duomo. The food was very good but the service is slow. The restaurant was very busy. I suspect that they need more servers. I had dinner here on a Sunday evening. I would definitely visit again. Come with patience.

My husband and I enjoyed a rooftop snack and drink here. It's so close to the cathedral, you get to see lots of details in the design. The best part was our server Yousuf! He was attentive and kind--really made the visit to the rooftop memorable. Thank you, Yousuf!

Visited 22/05/18 for lunch. I cannot understand why the service in Il Bar was as bad as it was (because other people in the shop part of this establishment were really helpful) but this was the worst service I can recall receiving in a restaurant. We were primarily served by two waitresses, both equally poorly, whether it was the ash blonde with the "trout pout", or the freckled one with filthy bitten nails; they were just rude. Trout pout thrust an oversized plate containing a bowl of food at my partner's face to take, when there was absolutely nowhere to put it - it's usual to clear tables before delivering food, especially when the tables are as tiny as they are here. She made no attempt to clear space, but turned on her heels and walked off without a backward glance. Another waitress made a half hearted attempt to move items, but having picked up an empty glass, decided against it and put it back down on the table. We were left to rearrange our table and try to find sufficient space ourselves. After the main course bitten nails snatched the napkin away from my partner, who had her hand resting on it. No "excuse me" or apology for this behaviour. It was just unnecessarily rude. We had ordered a set menu and waited and waited for our mini desert. After many attempt to get bitten nails' attention to see what was going on. She moved slightly closer and without looking at us, she said " oh yes, the check" and turned her back and walked away from us, and then ignored us again. We didn't know there was a choice of deserts as it only said Mini Desert on the menu, and bitten nails had "forgotten" to ask us what we wanted. So after 25 minutes of waiting, and us trying to get someone's attention, a colleague of hers came over and explained to her what the problem was. She then offered us the choice of mini deserts. My partner ordered the brownie and I asked for tiramisu. Shortly after this, she came back to the table, and put down a tiny dessert fork and spoon beside me. They were placed on a single cocktail-sized paper napkin. The desserts finally arrived, and I asked for eating utensils for my partner, and was told by trout pout that the one fork and spoon was "to share the deserts if we wanted". I asked for a spoon and the waitress said she could get it, "if we really wanted", but made it sound like the last thing on earth she wanted to do. My partner had by now given up, but my obvious question to the waitress was how were we supposed to share a single paper napkin between us? She ignored the question. My partner solved this - by pointedly tearing the paper serviette in half so we could have a piece each. You really would have been treated better in a roadside cafe, I have never been rationed to have to share a paper napkin with another person before!! Considering this was a €20 two course set menu per person not including our drinks it was embarrassing and I really expected more. I would also like to add that there was no explanation or warning that the brownie was full of nuts. They obviously don't understand or care about allergies here, or how dangerous this can be. The waitresses' demeanour was as though our mere presence in front of them was an affront and we were getting in the way of them doing something better. Sad, because the food was otherwise good.

I would be ashamed to be Italian in Milan and say that I work at Il Bar, a city and country that epitomizes good food, the food was bland and sub standard, the service was terrible, I can only imagine you work and cook there because you have no where else to go. I would be embarrassed as an Italian to serve that slop, and serve it poorly at that. Your only hope is that you are alongside the Duormo and God will look kindly on your misgivings. My only concern is that it was busy, what the hell have people's standards dropped to
