Beautiful little find after hunting around for the entrance. Although it’s not properly open unless for events, you can still see it from the entrance hallway. It’s stunning.

Im not sure if this is the Italian way but the reception lady with curly brunette hair forbid us to enter - maybe coz we are tourist and informed us we can only stay at the reception room and take background pictures but not of the books ( this i understand). Her face is stern and unwelcoming. Our genuine visit Didnt require such cold treatment.…

Want a free museum with no lines? Spend an hour walking around this HUGE library. There's a room that has all the original books, autographs, maps, etc. that's nothing short of incredible. It's as if all those grandiose libraries in the animated Disney movies were modeled after this place!…

An impressive old library which is worth a visit and which is easily overlooked. The first room is accessible to everyone, the reading room is only for those who use the library (you don't have to live in Milan for it, even foreigners can register).

This is a beautiful library with a collection of books with historical value. It is located on level 2 of the art academy. Very charming deco and reminds one of harry porter.
