This is a nice church with a Romanesque facade and simple interior. The Crypt has a number of interesting relics.

The facade is wonderful, if a little worn away in places. Inside is really lovely - a very enjoyable visit.

Wonderfully dark, interesting capitals, front is sadly very eroded, but there are many different Michael Archangel bas-reliefs if you look. Don't miss it. It is also often open all day with knowledgeable volunteers

Stand back and take in the exterior before entering and admiring the interior. Only a couple of other people in there on our visit and no charge to enter.

This is perhaps the most notable church in Pavia, a place where kings were crowned in days of old. It is a fine example of the Romanesque style, around 12th or 13th century. Go down into the crypt via the steps near the altar and...More
