The most beautiful thing is certainly the view of Borgo Ticino. It is clear that the bridge is a reconstruction from the 1950s after it was bombed in the Second World War. The small church that is in the middle of the bridge is abandoned. The nativity scene on a small barge in the middle of Ticino is beautiful this Christmas period. The bridge appears to be very photogenic, but in person it is not so exciting.

This beautiful covered bridge is a remaking of the ancient bridge of 1352 destroyed by bombing of Second World War.
The ancient bridge was itself a replacement for a Roman construction. In the Roman period Pavia was called Ticinium.

I lived in Pavia for approx one year and spent much time crossing this beautiful bridge and loving the views through all 4 seasons.....Pavia is a beautiful "hidden city" that is unspoilt by tourists.
A lively friendly city with great bars, cafe's, shopping, awesome markets, heaps to see and savour.....Beautiful surrounding towns, and of the Altro Po, each with their own uniqueness. Also a great base to other destinations with fantastic transport system.

One of Pavia's most known attractions is this covered bridge from where you can take nice photos. Was rebuilt after being destroyed during the war.

The Ponte Coperto today is a reconstruction of the original which was destroyed during WWII. It's quite impressive. Don't miss it when you visit Pavia.

The bridge was totally restored, having previously been destroyed in WW2. It spans a very wide river, and put you in awe of the original craftsmen who built the original bridge so long ago.

Though the bridge was devastated many times due to war, the present one reassembles the original. It is one of the landmarks of Pavia. The photo was taken in 2017 winter.

Si certo. Arrivato in stazione esci ed oltrepassando la piazza, prendi il viale davanti alla stessa che ti porta in piazza della minerva. Passi i semafori proseguendo sempre dritto e prendi corso Cavour, che è la via principale di Pavia pieni di negozi. Prosegui per circa 500 metri e ti trovi la famosa Annabella sulla sinistra. Appena passato quel pezzettino di strada giri a destra e scendi per arrivare al ponte coperto. Direi circa 1 km, ma è una bellissima passeggiata e si fa tranquillamente senza problemi. Se hai bisogno sono qui. Ciao
