Great views

Interesting tower. Good views around the city. You have to climb up a lot of steps. The tower is unmanned and you have to obtain your ticket from the Palazzo Mazzetti in the town centre. They will give you an electronic ticket which will open the gates to this tower and other attractions such as the Domus Romano and the crypt and museum of San Anastasia.

Impressive medieval tower
Feb 2018 • Friends
A really nice 12-13th century tower 44m high which is wonderfully decorated from the exterior. Worth going up to have a nice view of the city.

all the way up
Oct 2018 • Family
On a clear day or on a rainy day, it is always worth to walk up the wooden stairs all the way to the top. You'll have a view of the city and after a rich meal with wine (which I am sure you will experience in Asti) it is a good exercise.

Just look up.
Mar 2017
In a town of towers, this was the highest. Worth nipping up the side street to look and imagine what the city can have looked like as everyone stared at each other from these defended towers.

A Climb.
Sep 2016 • Couples
It is exactly 198 steps to the top and you are treated to a lovely view of the city of Asti. Get your smart card at the information office for easy access.

Just ok nothing special
Aug 2016 • Family
Torre itself is not so special as city itself, which is beautiful little medieval city. Good fits the image of the city where is more Torre's like this.

Interesting for photos
May 2014 • Family
It is hard to get a good photo of this and when we were there we could see that at some time it was open to the public, but in May when the tourist season seems to be in full flight it was not for our visit. So we were left with photos on the outside only.

Asti's emblem
Jul 2013 • Couples
This tower is the most characteristic in Asti, although it is not the only one in this old town. I was not up because it was already closed, only watched it from the ground.
In the past times the towers which were much played defence role and served as living places. Only a few of them have lasted until present, and as I observed they still are inhabited.
Generally speaking Asti is not top tourist destination, like San Giminiano in Tuscany what is famous for its towers. The difference is that in Asti you can observe how the Italians really live with their history and relics.

Your camera is useless there
Apr 2013 • Solo
Nice views but every smallest hole is sealed by with a dense grid. You could make some pictures with your phone or compact camera but not with reflex camera. Considering the price I'd say it doesn't worth the money.
