easy to get to on the little boat which runs to villages from Orta. Definitely going here for the ice cream. The cafe is just a few minutes where the boat lands - turn left and you will see the Antica Torre cafe. The selection of flavours is good, but the quality of flavour is outstanding .

A must, whenever in Piemonte! Super vies of the lake, freidly crowd in Pella and ever improving food with ever more sophisticated wines from all over Italy incl Gattinare and Ghemme.

We arrived there on bicycles to take the boat to the island. After all our cycling the lakeside was relaxing. Not overly crowded compared to other spots, it was an oasis.

The most attractive spot of the city of Pella is its boulevard. It is nice walking and sitting here, free of cars. There are a few restaurants and a superb ice saloon. The views over the lake are magnificent. It is touristic, but not overcrowded!

Travelled by ferry here. It is a quiet pretty village with a walk beside the lake. There are some restaurants here and some interesting buildings but it is not a place for a long visit.

There is nothing beyond the pleasant façade of the village but the ice cream at " torre vecchia" is worth the detour and if you are feeling romantic, the two restaurants on the front will deliver.

Quite a built up town at the end of the lake. Pouring with rain on our visit so did not see it at its best. Took the boat there from Orta.

Spent a week here with a group of friends, not only was the lake stunning but the people were friendly and the food was cheap and high quality. Completely out of the tourist loop, it's a gorgeous place if you are wanting a quieter time than Orta San Guilio

Has it's own white sandy beach!!! You can also catch a boat to the island from here. There are a couple of eateries and a stunningly delicious ice cream bar. Lovely to walk around and admire the lake from a different angle.

We took a ferry from our hotel, Hotel Giardinetto, as it stops right outside. You can also take one from Orta san Guilio or Omegna or Pettenasco, places around Lake Orta. There are several places to eat. The restaurant painted grey by the landing stage in Pella is super for lunch and the ice cream cafe a little way further is... More
