The Pietro Micca Musean is one of those places you'll miss if you don't know someone living in Turin or have heard about it from a previous visitor. Quite inconspicuous from the outside - basically a commemorative plaque near a small door on a quiet...More

It is sad that not more people visit this Museum. The problem might be that it is not very close to some of the other tourist attractions in the city. The staff and the guides are superbly knowledgeable and helpful. A model museum.

This was one of my favorite visits in the past MONTH of touring Europe!!! We have seen countless museums, holy sites, historical spots & parks but this, hands, down - run by volunteers no less (or perhaps because of?) - had the most impact. The...More

Found this by chance when. We wanted to go underground in Turin. It was only 3€. The actual museum is free and there is a free audio guide. The history is interesting and the staff, although their English wasn't strong, were more than helpful. Best...More

This museum is dedicated to the heroism pf Pietro Micca who saved the citadel. The museum and tours are staffed by volunteers and they cannot do enough to make you appreciate the museum and the tunnels and who took place in the 1700's. The entrance...More

This museum celebrates both the survival of Turin against the French and Spanish siege in 1706 as well as the sacrifice of Pietro Micca who died in the city's defence. It's a really small museum, three rooms and located on the site of the now...More

Thoroughly entertaining attraction telling the story of Pietro Micca, a hero in the history of Turin. Personally I tend to enjoy the smaller museums which rely on passionate volunteers rather than the bigger ones which are mostly staffed by bored youngsters on their mobile phones....More

We arrived with limited knowledge about the museo Pietro Micca other than it had underground tunnels which were blown up to protect the city against the French. After purchasing a ticket for €3 each the very friendly staff gave us an audio guide in English...More

Fascinating museum that centers on the fortress and tunnel systems that were built to fend off the French in the early 1700's. The tour is in Italian but an English audio tour is available. Definitely recommend!
