We walked around the Royal Gardens at the end of our visit to the Royal Museums when we felt a bit overwhelmed with art. It was a nice relaxing stroll in a relatively not-that-cold December afternoon. Some areas were fenced off for restoration works but the area of about 7 hectares allow enough space. The gardens will definitely be much more beautiful in the spring or summer when all vegetation bursts into blossom and gets green.

Giardini Reali are literally the Royal gardens located in the surroundings of Royal Palace, in Torino, the main city in Piedmont Region. It is a big garden, where I went after visiting the Royal Palace. It is a very nice place to relax, rest and do a picnic with children or adults. Also, from here, you can walk and see very nice views of the palace buildings and especially the Mole Antonelliana. Very good.

We came here to have a little bit of rest before continuing our tour of the city.

The gardens are well kept and they are for free! It's lovely to have such a nice green space right in the city center. Plus the roses and the pleasant set up of the gardens make this place not just nice for your mind and spirit but also for your eyes.

Well done Turin!

When we visited (December 2016) most of the gardens were fenced off and inaccessible to visitors. The small part that was accessible was lovely enough. No ticket is needed. Enter through Piazza Castello and the courtyard of Palazzo Reale.

I Giardini Reali are the gardens of the Royal Palace which are located in the centre of Turin. The park is basically split in half by a Y-shape of roads, of what we saw as we walked along Via I Maggio through this large busy park, it was not a particularly must visit park. There were remnants of the old city wall, a very impressive large monument to the Carabinieri at the convergence of the roads. We could not see the gardens beyond the old city wall along Via I Maggio into the palace grounds, hopefully they were much nicer to visit.

Beauty is in the eye and all that ... but as these are supposed to be Royal Gardens I found them very disappointing. I've seen just as good, if not better, parks in numerous suburban towns round the globe.

Big green garden, a very nice place to relax during a visit to Turin. Lots of seating available. There's some cool art on display as well.

I love a good garden but this is rather neglected in terms of upkeep. Plants dying for Jack of moisture and such a lot of weeds in the flower beds. Plenty of space to wander but it sorely needs some horticultural attention.

Giardini Reali is a beautiful garden, which surrounds the Musei Reali (King's Museum, in English). I came here with my 3 years old daughter and we only walk around the gardens, which are beautiful. It is a place to walk in a green place, see plants and trees and relax with all family.
