About
The museum shows a complete set of information about Shroud’s researches from ‘500 till now , gathering historical, scientific, devoutness and artistic aspects. A part of the museum presents scientific explorations of the shroud from 1898 to present. A second section is dedicated to the history ( believed as well as recorded ) of the Holy Shroud and its worship, starting from the second half of 15th century, when the Sheet became a property of Savoy family. In the photo graphical section a full set of official pictures of Shroud is shown. From first pictures taken by Secondo Pia in 1898, to the high definition digital pictures rom Hal9000 of 2008. Before visit a 5 languages video helps to understand shroud’s contents. The Museum has a path for blind. It is also available a panel that provides the Shroud in a coded form. For the first time a blind can indeed feel the same emotions that anyone feels the presence of the Shroud.

    Worth visiting
Very interesting. The tour starts with a 5 minute video & then a guide takes you through the various parts. I thought it was quite well done, I would have liked the lights on the info panels to have been brighter ... but you can use the torch on your phone to illuminate the text ! The painted ceiling in the church was amazing !!

A museum that excellently blends history, science and belief
I recently visited this museum, and it was a surprisingly positive experience. Despite not being religious, I found the museum to be incredibly informative. The exhibits are well-organized, with comprehensive texts and videos that present various perspectives on the Shroud allowing visitors to form their own opinions, whether they are believers or not. An excellent job of blending history, science, and belief!

Great information about the shroud and its background
So we went to Cappella Della Sindone which is in the Turin cathedral but you obviously can’t see the shroud, because it’s in an air-tight, bulletproof box in the chapel. It’s enough to know it’s there, but there’s not much information on the shroud itself. That’s why you need to go to the museum of the shroud, a 10 minute walk away from the church where the actual shroud is. (I don’t know why I couldn’t find this intel online anywhere!) the tour guide was very helpful even though she spoke very little English. The video at the beginning was a bit broad for us since we already did a lot of studying of the shroud and surrounding conspiracy. What amazed us was the information we found downstairs…tons of information about the shroud. Things that debunk the 1988 claims to the shroud being a 13th century fake. All in all, it was a really fascinating tour and I’m very glad we went.

If you want to see the Shroud of Turin do not go to Turin. There is no representation of the Shroud, Not even a fake.. This museum charges you and there is no shroud here copy or otherwise .The chapel of the Shroud is next door. This is where the Shroud lies (allegedly). It is free to enter but you cannot see it here either It is in a big glass case with a blanket over the top. It really is a dog dropping that is certain to disappoint. .

So sorry to have to write anything negative about a museum that shares a lot of information about the scientific support for the validity of the Holy Shroud and is run by a caring group of retired folks. It has great potential. However, the staff are a bit disorganized and do not know how to slow down the tour so that it can all be appreciated. For example, although they have some up-to-date technology to help visitors with understanding the exhibits (i.e., QR codes), they don't permit time to linger and translate the associated information. We asked if we could go back over the exhibits following the "guided tour" and we informed that this was not possible.

Even though we arrived around 5.40pm, they didn't let us in, using the excuse that the alarms had already been set, when in reality closing time is at 6.00pm. Then don't complain if they
Churches are increasingly empty and young people are disinterested... Thank you very much

The museum is about the shroud, but the real shroud is not housed here. The ticket is priced eight euros. The tour starts with a film about the history of the shroud. Then one is directed to the church where a replica of the shroud is displayed. There is a photography section where the results of various photographers over the years are shown. In the basement are certain artefacts. All good, but nothing spectacular.

After visiting the Church of St John the Baptist containing the famous Holy Shroud, we were curious to know more about this shroud and decided to go to the museum, thinking we would learn more.
Unfortunately, far from the historic center, this museum is old, dusty and really doesn't tell us much. €8 entry to see a film on the Holy Shroud, the photographs taken at different periods, and a reproduction of it. No scientific explanation and no explanation in French (apart from the short film). In short, we're still hungry! Too bad because there is something to exploit the subject!

There’s nothing you can see. The shroud isn’t visible, only a copy of it. You could look at a copy of it on your phone without visiting the site.

But apparently it is there, but apparently carbon dating suggests it’s a fake - it’s not the best thing to do in this beautiful city.

Of course it is not possible to see the Holy Shroud outside of very short periods decided by successive popes who allow exhibition only in exceptional periods. But this museum allows you to know its more precise history. And if you are lucky enough to come with a charming guide who speaks excellent French, you will be delighted.

There is no Holy Sheet, in case anyone expects it, they only put an informative historical video and two exhibition rooms and another room with a replica, with two corridors, one with the scientific explanation and another with the historical explanation, you go with guide, yes, without kind, but there is absolutely no more, there are also pictures; but nothing more.
I think they should warn, because the ticket is eight euros.
I felt cheated, really.
The Holy Sheet is in the cathedral of Turin, kept and is only taken out if the Pope wants and if he exhibits it, if he gives it around... it is to a small group of people and selected and only once a year.
I don't see it as logical or fair, I didn't like it.
