Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely square with some awesome buildings; the Palazzo Carignano being the stand out one with it's curved walls. We sat outside at a cafe and watched the world go by. Quieter than some of the other squares in Torino.

If you're walking around in the city centre, just a few steps away from the Egyptian museum, there is this lovely piazza which you really shouldn't miss once there. If Rome is mostly about fountains, Turin seems to be mostly about squares...this is one of them.

A fine example of baroque style with an impressive collection of artefacts and information on the Italian Risorgimento. A must for history lovers of that period.

A small square behind the entrance of the first parliament buildings that now housed the museums. The brick facade of the parliament building offered an intimate feel to this square.

This gorgeous square wasn't on our list, but we visited it accidentally while waiting for the 5 PM nearby Egyptian museum entry time (reduced price then, see that review).
The square is very impressive with the same name Baroque brick Palace dominating it, now housing the Science Academy. Across this remarkable bldg is also the famous theater.

Beautiful, not too large square, in the city centre, near the famous Egyptian museum.
Great architecture and a couple of fine restaurants.

Very close to the Royal Palace, the Egyptian Museum and via Roma, the piazza was named for the palazzo Carignano, which represents one of the sides of the square. The palazzo houses the Accademia delle Scienze and is a beautiful Baroque building. On the opposite side stands the Carignano Theater. Perhaps best known to the visitors is the Michelin-starred restaurant Del Cambio, facing the Palazzo Carignano. next to the restaurant is a delightful bar, also owned by the restaurant, with indoor and outdoor tables. Ideal for an aperitivo and people watching.

Enclosed between the Carignano Palace to the S, the Carignano Theater (with the Cambio restaurant, the Farmacia del Cambio Bistrot, the Pepino Ice cream parlor) to the N, the Egyptian Museum to the W and beautiful inhabited building to the E, this square is a jewel box, small, intimate, but not oppressive. Defined by the gorgeous Baroque architecture of the palazzo and the heaviness of the museum on one side, as you turn to the West, you suddenly can breathe and take it all in. From there you should enter via Accademia delle Scienze, then via Lagrange, with its hoidi toidi shops, the Egyptian museum, 2nd or 3rd in the world, The Rosa Luxemburg book shop or the Farmacia del Cambio with its exquisite appetizers and wine, and further down, a block away, piazza Castello in all its splendor. Don't miss it.

The piazza is unique in its elongated rectangular shape. It is quite charming and is close to the Egyptian museum and Via Roma. There is a 1986 novel, named after the piazza, by America author, Alain Elkann.
