I was fairly skeptical about the Skyway, since it is quite expensive and I usually prefer being able to explore on my own. But the views from Punta Helbronner are really amazing, and worth the price, especially if you won't ever get that high on a mountain in another way. Also, it was nice that there were some options to walk around during winter midway at the Pavillion. Definitely a must-do if you are in the area, although I hope that next time I can rather descent on skis than with the cable car.

We pre-booked this experience prior to our trip as a group of 8 people. We visited in mid February, UK half term and found this to be a quiet week to visit the Italian Alps. Likewise, it was a very quiet day on the Skyway and we managed to ascend and descend without any queues. We planned our ascent for 11.30am and at the ticket desk we were advised to visit the Pavillion on the way down and head straight to the top, Punta Hellbroner, where we could stay for two hours. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking with the cable car rotating throughout the whole journey offering views across the Mont Blanc range and surrounding mountains. At Punta Hellbroner we were able to access viewing decks which offered 360 degrees views which was quite an experience! As it was my husband’s birthday, we visited the bistro and ordered champagne to celebrate. When the staff realised that it was his birthday, we were given a complimentary birthday cake which was such a nice touch. Everyone was so friendly. On our descent, we stopped at the Pavilion and sat on the deckchairs, taking in the views and enjoying a drink from the restaurant whilst the sunshine shine around us. Yes, the experience is a little costly for a group, however, I would recommend highly that you visit if you have the opportunity to. We made wonderful memories here.

At over 3000 metres to the top. This is breathtaking. You go up in a large bubble with an operator. The trip all the way to the top is not for the faint hearted. I’m nice at the top and when the cloud moves the view is amazing. There is also a book shop and a restaurant l. There are 2 station. The one above and also one further down with gardens and another restaurant and an infinity room. A must visit!
