- HenriCloeteTrondheim, Norway225 contributionsAmazing viewsI was fairly skeptical about the Skyway, since it is quite expensive and I usually prefer being able to explore on my own. But the views from Punta Helbronner are really amazing, and worth the price, especially if you won't ever get that high on a mountain in another way. Also, it was nice that there were some options to walk around during winter midway at the Pavillion. Definitely a must-do if you are in the area, although I hope that next time I can rather descent on skis than with the cable car.Visited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 10 February 2024
- Sarah SOxford, United Kingdom463 contributionsA breathtaking experienceWe pre-booked this experience prior to our trip as a group of 8 people. We visited in mid February, UK half term and found this to be a quiet week to visit the Italian Alps. Likewise, it was a very quiet day on the Skyway and we managed to ascend and descend without any queues. We planned our ascent for 11.30am and at the ticket desk we were advised to visit the Pavillion on the way down and head straight to the top, Punta Hellbroner, where we could stay for two hours. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking with the cable car rotating throughout the whole journey offering views across the Mont Blanc range and surrounding mountains. At Punta Hellbroner we were able to access viewing decks which offered 360 degrees views which was quite an experience! As it was my husband’s birthday, we visited the bistro and ordered champagne to celebrate. When the staff realised that it was his birthday, we were given a complimentary birthday cake which was such a nice touch. Everyone was so friendly. On our descent, we stopped at the Pavilion and sat on the deckchairs, taking in the views and enjoying a drink from the restaurant whilst the sunshine shine around us. Yes, the experience is a little costly for a group, however, I would recommend highly that you visit if you have the opportunity to. We made wonderful memories here.Visited February 2024Travelled with familyWritten 23 February 2024
- JulesT17Penzance, United Kingdom231 contributionsBreath takingAt over 3000 metres to the top. This is breathtaking. You go up in a large bubble with an operator. The trip all the way to the top is not for the faint hearted. I’m nice at the top and when the cloud moves the view is amazing. There is also a book shop and a restaurant l. There are 2 station. The one above and also one further down with gardens and another restaurant and an infinity room. A must visit!Visited September 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 29 September 2024

Unique and priceless experience! The high cost of tickets is rewarded by the beauty and immensity of the landscape. You arrive by free shuttle from Courmayeur for those who do not want to go by car, you can book online even just before boarding, to assess the weather conditions, saving a little '. The climbs do not last long, even my husband who suffers from dizziness, made it without major problems. The roof of Europe is worth seeing: exciting! At the Helbronner station you can stay a maximum of an hour and a half, at the Pavillon station, lower, you can stay as long as you want.

This miracle of engineering takes you up to 3466 m. There are two stops- The Pavilion at 2173m has bar, restaurant, shop and access to the mountain for a wander around. Then you can take the next cable car up to Punta Helbronner with fabulous views of the alps and particularly Mont Blanc- Monte Bianco. At the top station you can walk up to a 360 degree viewing platform if you’re up for it!!! It’s perfectly safe but a you’re a long way up!! Worth it though.

Experience to do at least once in a lifetime!
A cutting-edge system and projected towards the future, with the cabin that rotates on itself during the climb allowing you a 360-degree view.
The expense per person round trip is not cheap (56€ per adult), but once you get high in Punta Helbronner you realize how much it was worth the expense!
The climb includes the stage to Pavillon, and then climb with a second Helbronner pointed cabin.
We were lucky enough to find a day with amazing weather, which made it all the more wonderful.
In the stop in Pavillon we recommend a visit to the botanical garden (dogs cannot access it), the museum and for those with children not to be missed the part dedicated to them (climbing wall, slides, crossing with the raft in the small pond).
You can travel accompanied by our 4-legged friends at a cost of 7€ per dog.

Great experience!!! A futuristic system is truly avant-garde, the cabin rotating on itself so you can enjoy the view from all angles! Not cheap unfortunately but if you go to Courmayeur you can not expect a low cost treatment. After both stages Pavillon and Punta Helbronner, in the outbound found cloudy an incredible disappointment ... but then we decided to continue to Aiguille Du Midi and the crossing on the glaciers with the Cima del mont blanc next to it was worth all my 4 days holiday in Valle D’Aosta, something absolutely out of the ordinary ....
If the weather is good, just do it! The 40€ you will forget after the first 200 m but still remain to enjoy 4800 m about 35 minutes in a 4-seater panoramic cabin

Climbing to this height causes some dizziness, but not only due to the lack of oxygen: the view is beautiful and exciting, breathtaking. We purchased the climb up to Punta Helbronner with Esselunga points 3200 points + €54 for 2 (it costs less than half the list price, €56 online or €61 at the cash desk per person), we stopped at the intermediate point to do a little ' of photos and visit the various historical areas dedicated to Mont Blanc such as the Hangar museum, and had an aperitif at the bar (wine €6/honest glass). The cable cars are revolving so that anyone can enjoy the view while going up, ascent time approximately 2 minutes. We continued to Punta Helbronner (highly recommended) where we had lunch (after booking at least 7 days in advance on the Skyway website) at the Kartell restaurant: breathtaking view, we had prepaid a €39/person voucher with which, however, you can eat a lot , if you take the right one you will spend less from the card. The prepaid card does not include water, wine and coffee. The Kartell staff is not up to par, there is a rude and unfriendly lady, while the waiter of Moroccan origins is friendly and courteous. If you want a table near the windows, ask him.

We travelled over from France for this and it didn’t disappoint. The views were spectacular.
I was a little worried about the cable car as I don’t like heights but it was fine. The car slowly rotated as you go up but a sat in the middle so I didn’t rotate.
You need to book tickets before you can book a slot. I found the booking on the website difficult but when I accessed it on my phone I could easily book. As we bought tickets on the same day, we had to wait in line for a bit but it was maybe 15 min which for a Saturday in August didn’t seem very bad.

What to say? Fantastic landscapes that don't need words to be told. the cable car is an experience, not a means of transport. I recommend continuing your journey by taking the panoramic cable car that takes you to the French side and booking lunch at the restaurant at the top at the end of the skyway. This way you can stay as long as you want. And since there are a lot of people anyway, at least you can calmly see the various terraces, and maybe if you're in the mood take a walk on the glacier (guided of course). The intermediate station is also worth a stop. The milder temperature also allows you to relax and get some sun.

the price (170 euros for a family of 2 adults and 2 children) is amply repaid by the spectacular nature of the experience. there is no queuing, you arrive at the booked time and go up. go straight to Punta Helbronner, because you can only stay there for an hour and a half from the start of the climb and you need all of it to look at the wonderful views (we are at around 3500 meters above sea level, right in front of Mont Blanc). go immediately (I recommend) to the terrace at the top and immediately go up to the small terrace for three people, because then there is a queue there. even the intermediate station on the descent (Pavillon) is beautiful for its landscapes. Here you can also walk with children and visit the botanical garden. the restaurant is also good and all in all cheap given the location

Going up to Punta Hellbronner with this futuristic cable car offers rare emotions. The highest peaks seem within reach and the beauty of the panorama leaves you breathless (perhaps thanks to the rarefied air up high 😉). Of course, the crowds in the month of August do not allow you to enjoy these wonders in peace but that's what it is. The heat of this summer, then, meant that at the intermediate stage of the Pavillion there were already high temperatures, very different from the cold at altitude which, fortunately, was there despite the sun shining in the clear sky. At the Pavillion I found the free visit to the botanical garden very pleasant but also a stop at the restaurant whose windows offer beautiful views of the mountains and Val Veny.

Hi, I've purchased tickets on behalf of my boss for him & his wife. They are not skiers...please could I have some advice on what to wear for this excursion? Are waterproof trousers/ski wear necessary or just warm clothing? Secondly, upon booking, the time says 08:30 - do they have to meet at 08:30 or is the time flexible? Thanks In advance!

I am planning to stay for few days in Aosta Italy. Then travel to Chamonix France. I understand there is a bus. But would it be possible to ascend mont Bianco from Aosta and then desends to Chamonix? I will only have a small backpack as luggage.

Inoltre con il biglietto prenotato per salire sullo skayway, in caso di pioggia o brutto tempo, è possibile spostare la data?
Grazie
