Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Honestly if I had to decide what to leave out in time shortage this is perhaps the first place
Except for the interest perhaps in the Tomb of St. Luke the Evangelist for the rest there are no great works when compared with the rest of the city
It's only worth it if you have time left to commit otherwise you can skip

We visited here on a day trip to Padua while staying in Venice for a week. While Padua itself was a little disappointing, this was a lovely place to visit.

We were lucky as we managed to go in just before they closed for mid-afternoon, but still managed to spend about half an hour inside, although could have spent longer.

Even though I am not religious, I have always appreciated religious architecture. They are some of the most stunningly beautiful buildngs. This basilica is definitely worth a visit, check times before arriving to ensure you have the time needed to really take everything in.

The Basilica of Santa Giustina overlooks the Prato della Valle and is a large church that stands on the burial place of the patroness of Padua. Built in the sixth century but rebuilt several times, the last in the sixteenth century. Very simple interior but full of chapels with the relics of various saints in addition to those of Justina.

The Basilica of Santa Giustina is the largest church in Padua and one of the largest basilicas in the world. Located on Prato della Valle. Known since the 5th century, after which it was completed and rebuilt many times. It is an Italian national monument.

The church of Santa Giustina is pretty simple and spacious. It is not very rich inside because of the history of the Santa who was a symbol of the poor people.

Very similar in the architectural structure of the nearby San Francesco church, Santa Giustina isn't nearly as ornate or as stunningly beautiful inside, but is well worth seeing. The artwork and side chapels here are all very impressive and in many ways, the bareness of the church highlights it's vast size. Free to visit and photography is freely allowed, but it's closed between noon and 15:30 except Sundays.

Visited this church whilst visiting the Prato della Valle Square and it is a very beautiful building with dome shaped roofs etc. There are beautiful frescos on the ceiling inside and amazing stained glass with pictures depicting the life of Jesus and Mary. At one side of the church inside, on the wall are two angels carrying the bible and various statutes in nooks and corners of the church. The main door has some sculptures as well. Not to be missed.

This beautiful basilica is smaller than that of At Anthony but just beautiful. Absolutely gorgeous side chapels and frescos. Don't miss it. When we were there, a wedding was being held. The organ was playing gorgeous romantic songs and the bride looked beatiful. It was a memorable occassion.

This is a lovely Basilica and definitely worth a visit. It is a short 5-10 min walk, depending on how slow you want to go, from the basilica di Sant'Antonio and a beautiful one at that. Inside you will find the tomb of St. Luke. It is a real treasure. In addition, it faces one "corner" of the Prato della Valle so you can take a pleasant stroll before or after.

This beautiful church is just a few walking blocks from St. Anthony's Cathedral. It is open 24 hours and is opposite a beautiful public park. It has many side chapels. There are many restaurants and coffee shoppes nearby.
